Lavish Nail Studio I Manicure Service I Nail Salon in West Hartford, CT in West Hartford, CT

First time visit
This was my first time visiting this salon & at first I was going to leave and go else where because I didn't see any parking but then I saw a sign stating there's additional parking in the back which was great. First impression upon walking in I thought it was a bit tight and was a little uncomfortable at first speaking to my nail tech because I felt like any and everyone can hear are conversation and be all into are business but anyways.. I was serviced by Son, he made me feel really comfortable to voice any concerns I had with my nails as he was working so that I'd leave a satisfied customer. I really appreciated his patience with me as well as his input on certain designs. He made my first visit nice and I do plan on returning. I gave 4 stars because as the salon started to get busy he did rush a little and on my right hand index finger's the diamond design came out crooked but when I noticed I was already checking out so I just let it be. But next time I will definitely have any mistakes fixed because I paid more than I ever have at any salon for a fill but I love my nails despite of.

First time trying this salon out and it turned out to be a nightmare.
Amani did my nails and she was surprisingly rude, cold, and sarcastic.
I was surprised because I am a very kind person and never had this experience at a nail salon (been getting my nails done consecutively for 16 years).
Anyways, Amani added a color powder without asking me because of course it's more expensive and it was pointless because I mentioned prior, that I wanted a full nail design.
She ended doing 4 nails French tip nails which was against what I said I wanted, and when I suggested some design ideas to fill the space, she cut me off and said, "I GOT IT"
All in all, my nail shape was slanted, and some were shorter than others.
I spoke about my experience on IG later that night and the owner Marcus messaged me.
He disregarded everything I mentioned and became offended that I stated, "all that for $100" (I guess he thought I was insinuating that I was overcharged. which I wasn't)
He offered to give me "$13 to make me happy" and when I refused the money because, treatment was my issue not money, as I was replying he says "Let's call it a night hun" then BLOCKED ME. I was completly in shock that a salon "owner" would speak to a respectful paying customer that way let alone block my ig account all because I spoke the truth on my experience. I would have been happy if he offered to fix the french tips because that was never what I wanted. Now I'm blocked and walking around with lopsided nails, not to mention, the gel paint is chiping off and it's been 4 days lol JUST HORRIBLE. HIGHLY HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMEND THIS UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE. I don't see them staying open for long.

Under new management. One of the best shop around west hartford, if you are getting design this is the place to go, or you want any kind of french manicure!

So my reasoning for giving this establishment to stars is for the simple fact there's no consistency. I've been there a handful of times and every time my nails have been different. Different look that I'm not happy with , my most recent visit really pisses me off for the simple fact I had a woman by the name Jen do my nails. and have the nerve to be rude& nasty  to me mind you I wasn't even talking to her.!! I just find it very disrespectful and very tasteless. I honestly feel like this establishment wants to be down with the culture only when it comes to a dollar if you're not gonna have consistency in customer service at least have it in service.!! Period!! Another time that I was there. I had to come back a couple hours later to get my nails fixed by another nail tech because my nails we're not consistent nor did they look good. When I left the shop it took me the call the owner to complain about the issue for it to be corrected! But then again, i'm convinced they talks shit about Black people like dog period They've made me reconsider ever getting my nails done. I think I'm a stick to the manicure and pedicure. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a establishment before!!! if you go to this nail salon beware of the attitudes

I ended up scoring a last minute appt with Yenny today, and this is the  first time I have never had to file my nails after I get them done!!

I also received  a toe polish change with a female technician and she did great- my feet were a mess, and long over due!

they only take cash and are fairly priced- everyone in there seems nice, and they are all beautiful!

i will def be back again.
