Fresh Nails Bar LLC in Charlotte, NC

This used to be my go-to nail salon but not anymore. I believe it's under new management, because I asked the guy where everyone was and he said "holiday". If you've been there you know how many technicians there are, and they're all on holiday??? I went twice with the "new management" and the first time it was only one guy in there and I got helped no problem, was just confused. Second time I was in there, it was two men working. The guy who did my nails had ME take off the SNS on my own!!! I was sitting there scrubbing my SNS off for 20 minutes while he was in the back room with the other guy talking and eating. When he was doing my nails, some of the conversations he was trying to have with me was uncomfortable. I never wanted to leave so bad. The payment method they are taking is Venmo, which isn't that big of a deal, but I think it's a bit weird considering they used to take all payments methods and be aware if you don't have Venmo!
Overall, I will not be back until the people and management from before is back. :)

This place is under new management. Stay away. They let you come in with no reservation and the wait is over 1 hr. I sat down on pedi chair thinking there were more technicians and only 3 people working and about 5 people waiting. My technician (I think he's the owner) fills the tub then walks away. The tub overflows. He tells me I'm next and then he proceeded to take another client. Then when I asked about wait he says "you're next" again. So I wait since it's a Sunday at 3pm and most places close at 5 and I'm flying out next morning at 6am. I call around other salons and nothing available. I look for him and he's having a smoke break. I'm stunned. I call him over and he looks annoyed with me. More clients walk in and he's letting them in. It's now 4:25. I walked in at 3:09 and I'm still waiting. I'm stuck as I need the pedi because traveling to Florida. He has not apologized and keeps letting people in.  I'm so angry I tell the new people to leave unless they want to wait for an hour. 2 more people still ahead of me. All getting gel. I'm so angry I want to cry. Another technician offered to take me because the manager was so rude. And also they no longer provide beverages. This is definitely new management. I've been coming here quite frequently and it's just awful now. The only good review is for the technician who started on me at 4:26.

Bottom line up front: $100 for nails that aren't even painted correctly, not to mention the aftermath under my nails. So much miscommunication and not caring that o really paid for.

I've only been here before for a pedicure once, but thought it was ok and they squeezed me in so tried it again.  Decided on a pedicure but when she told me she had time for a mani too, I decided to add it on. I told her regular pedicure, she did a gel. And when I gave her my color, she did a pure white, staying "most people want white for new years". I don't, I want the color I picked. I gave into the gel pedicure, reluctantly.

I NEVER get a manicure, love long nails but hate the aftermath. I asked my technician her opinion on gel vs dip knowing my nails were too short and would need tips. She recommended gel...then when I said I wanted tips, she said I had to do dip. She did so many layers of dip, then did gel for the tips??!

I showed her a picture before she started of what I wanted. It wasn't until after she put tips on that she told me another $15 for French tips. Ok. She made several
Comments throughout the process of how much work this was....but I'm paying for it, so what's the issue? I don't want to feel like a burden, and now I think she just wanted to be done. Very messy job - you can even still see the red from my prior polish she didn't remove fully.

Overall, not a good job for $100+. I know have to go home and clean up the goop under my thumb and add more color to the spots missing it,

I won't come back nor would I recommend.

I was a walk-in with my cousin , everything initially went well with the pedicure but then we  were up for a full set. once we get to the table , they tell us only one person in the salon can do acrylic and that the design my cousin wanted they couldn't do because they dont do gel on nails? so i get mine done , they upcharge me $15 for the length and they aren't even an inch long , then i ask if they can do french tip they say yes , so as she's doing it i tell her that i don't like the  way they look so now she says there's a $20 upcharge for it now. if i'm paying you for a service , i expect it to be done to my liking. i tell her to take it all off since they  can't do anything clearly.  my last straw was when i got in the car and there was lent and particles all over my nails? i wouldn't come back here at all.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Andy is extremely rude, condescending, lacks communication skills, and does not know how to deal with people. As a nail technician, when you deal with customers, you are supposed to aim to understand what your customer wants. Instead, Andy is stubborn, raises his voice in a very condescending, rude manner, and even slams the bar. It is unfortunate that one person can impact the view that a customer has on the establishment, but when everyone just stands around as he throws his child like  tantrum, It is very unfortunate. Do not come here, if Andy's customer service is a reflection of the establishment, I truly hope that you all go next-door or to any other nail salon but here. This salon used to be great when there was different talents doing nails, but in the last three months or so, everything has went down the hill. The salon also looks dirty, doesn't look up kept, and it is uncomfortable when everyone is speaking in a different language as they look at you.
