Mrs. Kim (owner) is my go to hair stylist for magic perm. I've been to many salons that burnt my hair or simply didn't make it last more than 3 months at most. I've got it done last summer and the perm lasted about a good year. Today, I got magic on the root and c curl at the bottom and it came out perfectly! Highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a good stylist to get magic straight done.
I wanted to dye my hair ash brown so I gave this salon a shot. I called Saturday morning to make an appointment and was able to make an appointment that same day! I came a little earlier and they seated me right away. My hair stylist was Evan and he was the sweetest person ever! He explained he had to bleach my hair to get the ashy brown color I wanted since I have virgin black hair. He was very delicate and meticulous throughout the whole process. I was so pleased with how my hair came out four hours later. This is definitely my go to salon moving forward!
This is not my first time getting my hair permed in my life. I have gotten digital perm and regular perm by different salons in the past. I recently moved to NJ and I reluctantly came across Sumusal. I haven't found the hair salon since I moved to bergen county. Finally I think I found the spot! I got my hair permed. I love that it gave me the volume I never have. The curl is beautiful and everyone is so nice and kind!
My youngest son and I went together. I got a magic setting perm by Mrs. Kim and my son got a haircut by her. We both walked out so happy. As a matter of fact, after my son's haircut, a customer saw my son's haircut and asked if she could take a picture of his side profile so that she could give that haircut to her own son because it looked so good! I too absolutely love my hair. My hair is naturally very frizzy and extra thick, but Mrs. Kim completely transformed my hair into soft, straight and wavy. It came out better than I hoped! She was so meticulous and precise the whole process. She consults really well also. She understood my hair better than anyone ever did! It seems she understands hair really well. I really appreciated that. I felt really well taken care of. And lastly I want to mention that the people there are all so sweet and respectful which made it an all around great experience for us. And of course we will definitely be returning for our next hair needs! I definitely recommend this place.
