Define Hair & Skin in Ellicott City, MD

I arrived to my appointment with high hopes with dying my hair black blue but honestly wasn't what I expected. I talked to two stylist which explained to me two ways I can go about coloring my hair which is lighting my hair or doing a semi permanent color which might not show up, which I appreciated. Very good communication I ended up just dying my black hair, which doesn't seem like a lot of people get at this salon since I seen a lot of people going blonde or very light colored hair. As I got rinsed and dried my stylist seemed a little rushed to get to her next client and my blow out wasn't what I expected. Also my scalp was irritated from the paint that she put on my hairline. There was still some wavy pieces in my hair when I got back home. I also had a dark line of black paint on my eye lid, hair line, and while she was painting my hair she got some on my face. Honestly not worth $271 plus 20% tip.

First time customer and all my expectations were well exceeded. Very clean and modern salon. This was my first time having my hair done since a bad experience at a different salon two years ago. Savannah was my stylist and assured me the entire time. She explained each and every step out for me so I would love the end result. I had a small talk about what I wanted and she did even better than I could have ever imagined. I would absolutely recommend this salon to anyone who wants anything from a simple haircut to a new hairstyle.

Absolutely love Define! I've primarily go for hair services like balayage and a haircut (all done by Courtney) and it's been great. Courtney listens to what I'd like to have done and executes on it flawlessly. I've gotten a couple of the spa services here too-- a few facials and a lash lift and all services have been professional and exactly what I'm looking for. Highly recommend this establishment!

THEY ARE CATERING TO TYPE 4 HAIR So I am a model and yesterday I was able to model for a class the stylist were taking to learn about type 4 hair. The sheer fact they were interested in learning about our hair is astonishing. I am so overwhelmed with happiness that there is a studio for people with my hair texture to go and recieve the professional help needed to care for our hair. The interior of the establishment just screams luxury and I absolutely love it. All of the staff that I met were very curious, kind, and respectful to me as a person but also learning about our differences. I unfortunately was not able to go to the spa side of the business but I believe it is the same quality of luxury. I absolutely recommend anyone to go there just for a day of relaxation. Love love love and will find time to go back as a customer!
