D P Lorana Salon Inc in East Brunswick, NJ

I have been going here a few times a year now for the past 4 years and always have a great experience. It's nice to finally have a reliable place for my hair needs after years of trying random places. It is a bit further from my house but I think the trip is worth it. I ask for Kelly and she does an amazing job with coloring my hair. I've gotten a balayage from her as well as highlights and the color lasts for such a long time. She does a very thorough job and really takes her time with you, while staying extremely professional and also very sweet. I am also satisfied with my haircuts by Kelly as she can always pull off whatever style I ask for. The salon is very clean and cozy and they're great at offering tea/coffee/water while you wait to be seen. I have recommended this salon to friends who are needing a new place for a haircut and would also recommend it to whoever is reading this!

My appointment was with Donna, and she gave me a great haircut and styled it beautifully as well. She understood exactly what I wanted, explained each step, and discussed the products she used without being too pushy. She was a refreshing pleasure for me after the previous bad haircut I had elsewhere (which she fixed). She runs a beautiful and professional salonThanks, Donna!

I've been here about three times, but this will be my last. I asked for mushroom brown balayage (and showed a picture). I was a bit taken back when I saw that my hair was closer to blonde! Nothing about this color was close to mushroom brown. I was already there for 6 hours at this point asked to get my hair darker, and ended up with a bronze color (similar to honeycomb). Sadly, I had to lie and say I was fine with it because at this point I was tired and it was almost 8pm (started at 1230p). This mess was $400 which is outrageous but I didn't have the energy to fight it. If anyone does go here, please only go to Amanda. I should have called and rescheduled with her. Sadly, she was booked and I ended up with Barbara. Sweet person, but not sure if she knows how to do trendier colors. Also, Donna (the owner) is absolutely rude to the assistants. I almost told her something, but felt it would be better to say it publicly here so she can work on how she talks to her staff when people are at her salon. She's much nicer to the hair dressers.

Waited 6 weeks for appointment with Donna, the owner. Asked for a different stylist but she talked me into going to her. Wanted and payed for root color and more highlights. What should have taken 2 hours took 4, not enough time for haircut. Glaze she put on completely covered highlights and and me look like a bleached blonde. No contrast. I could have bought a $6 box of color instead of "getting" highlights. Charged a lot extra for using credit card but never told me when I made appointment. Who carries $250 cash if they aren't aware they need it. Will NEVER return

I love this salon. Amanda is amazing no one else has touched my hair in 5 years and as long as I live in New Jersey no one will.
