Cost Cutters in Mt Airy, NC

I checked in today to get a haircut and there were multiple people in the shop waiting. Two hairstylists and another lady who was just washing hair, but she did check me in.

One right after another I watched customers come and go...including those who even checked in AFTER me. I waited for over an hour for a haircut.

The employees did not seem to know what was going on. At all. They were not taking customers in order and if I didn't have to get my hair cut today, I would have left this place in a second after arriving. Employees seemed to move in slow motion and were too loud talking about their personal business in front of customers.

The one hairstylist that cut my hair done a great job, but I will not be back nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone.

I got a permanent a little over a week ago and it was not what I was expecting. It was way under processed and the cut was horrible and to top it off according to them I can't get my money back. They offered to ( fix it ) like I am stupid enough to let them get their hands on me again. So needless to say I am out $64. So what ever you do stay away from the cost cutters salon in Mt Airy, NC

...by far the worst experience ever...walking in, two cutters ..as, mine at least, was not a stylist, sat -looked--and said nothing...was ready to leave when my cutter asked if i wanted a cut...i sat in chair and told her exactly how i get it cut ..every other place i have been has never had a problem understanding me..usually go to quik cuts in mt airy and sadly they were closed and as i am leaving the state for a job interview thought i would try here...well she started and within the first 3 minutes , my hair was horrible,  I am male and it is not hard to get it right, i told her to stop, showed her and told her why, and at once she said" if you dont like it you dont have to pay for it"-i guess, with such a quick response, she has heard this befor. this already has taken to long to type, so wil just say...stay far far away...you will have better luck with a feral cat cutting your hair

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been going here for years. Even before it was cost cutters. The last 3 times has been horrible experiences. Now, I understand...why did you keep going back. Well...the first incident happened under a different name, but same people worked there. The first time they dyed my hair 3 different times over 4 days. Because they first dyed it black and orange...it was supposed to be brown with peekaboo red highlights. The girls said they could fix it...just dyed it all red. I looked like a clown. The final time...the manager had to do it. She managed to fix it. After all of that, I didn't get a refund. The 2nd incident they dyed my hair it turned out red and blonde. I just didn't even bother going back. And I know, I should have gave up then, but I thought...what the heck....I'll get an all over color of brown to just cover it up...and I'll get someone different. This time, I go in tell them what I want....they guy tells me to come back in 20 to 30 minutes. So I do. I sit down, they never took my name or anything. They start getting other people that came in after me. I understood they had some appointments, but some of these were walk ins. They totally ignored me. After a hour...I just left. Poor customer service and bad dye jobs. I will not come back!!
