You can often save 50-90% by finding a Groupon. The average cost varies by location, but your best bet is to check the app right before arriving; it's often worth buying in the car before even stepping foot inside. Worth the extra five minutes!
I had Alexis as my facialist twice and they were both amazing. I'm sure she'll do a great job wherever she ends up working. Keep producing excellent students, College of Wilmington! You have not disappointed us yet.
Made an appointment online for a massage. I had never tried them and the price was right. It was really hard to find an appointment time. The only one I could get was 7:30 p.m. After reading other reviews on the day of the appointment, I called to make sure I was on the calendar. "No problem. We have you down for 7:30." It was not 10 minutes later they called and cancelled because my person suddenly became unavailable.
I rescheduled for the next day with the person who called to cancel (which amazed me since online there were no appointments). About two hours before the next appointment, I received a text saying I would need to call to reschedule as my new person was unavailable.
I told them that in the words of Emily Litella, "Never mind!"
The facility itself is very nice and the receptionist was very cordial and helpful in giving me directions since I was coming from far away. However, the massage was not what I expected having had massages from other colleges. The student massaging me was focusing more so on pressure points rather than giving me a massage and was explaining to me the process of what he was doing, but really I just wanted to listen to the relaxing music and get a massage. I did not say any of this on the form because I didn't want him to get in trouble but I just felt like he could've been a little more quiet and focused on giving me a massage. At the end he was explaining to me how to stretch and how body parts are connected. He is not a doctor, he is a student and is not even licensed as a masseur. I would go again but this time I would request a woman because I've had pretty good experiences at Coastal community college school of massage.
I have taken my daughter here 3 times so far, for haircuts. She and I love the friendliness of the students and staff, they go above and beyond to make her happy! Her hair is looking beautiful, and I certainly can't complain about the price. We're going to be visiting very often!
The students were very nice. The teachers Were constantly walking around checking the progress and offering advice when needed. I showed them a photo and they picked the proper size rod for the outcome I wanted. I was very pleased!
