JCPenney in Wilmington, NC

After being blown off by one associate that claimed to have only been working her second day , trying to find a certain brand of jeans. I found a very nice lady working in the woman's shoe area by the name of Christina , who was very helpful and I thanked her for her time and assistance. A lady whom was working the counter (Diane) was able to assist us and nice at check out. (Did not like a lady who works in perfume and makeup department who stepped out and started spraying perfume in front of their area which was in front of the check out area.)

Fried my Moms hair. Didn't listen to her instructions. She wanted body not kinky curl.  She got kinky curl. Then put a relaxer on her hair and it fried her hair.  Now it's breaking off and Falling out. Paid 70.00.  My Mom is 76 years old and was in tears the whole way home.  Broke my heart!

This store racial profile paying customers.  Two sales women  and one male security,  was seen following a black female throughout the store making the customer very uncomfortable. The customer paid for her purchases.  As she left the store, the security warning was activated.  After, customer returned to the cashier to have purchases checked, there were no security tags on garments.  The customer was upset that Penny's personal would go that far.

This is the worst customer service store I have dealt with in many years. I placed an order for several items from JC Penny .com in early November 2017 was told only half my order was in and that I needed to wait till all my order arrived at the store before I could pick it up. Leaving for out of town end of November was told they could only  hold my order for 10 days. Well, I stated that  I would be gone and could not pick it up until December 20 "no problem" staff said I will indicate that, so on December 20th I arrive at the store to pick up my order only to be told it had been cancelled and your money refunded, no refund appeared on my credit no one knows where the money is, manager no help after several calls and trips to the store they find that they placed money on a gift card.   Well, still needing my items I reordered again paid the $8.95 for shipping received one of my many items then got and e mail message stating some of my items where cancelled again called customer service for reason for cancellation  first time they hung up on me, called back only to be transferred to no one and message stated call back the next day. No one wanted to help After all that still do not know why it's cancelled as I looked on line items are still available for shipping. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Great store, great staff, they are always on top of their game! They usually have most items in stock and if not they make sure they get it for you one way or another. They usually have pretty good deals and the music in the store is relaxing. I never have a problem here!
