CHER & COMPANY SALON in Plymouth, MN

Brooke was amazing! She graciously worked around my schedule and was able to get me in on a short notice, and gave me such an amazing experience. It was honestly one of the best salon experiences I've had! I love how my hair turned out!

If you get a hair appointment salon treatment, I "tell you, Do not, and I mean do not, get Cher to cut or color your hair. I have given her 4 times to prove herself. Last time was awful. Took her over 2.5 hours and plus $215.00 later a hairstyle that looked like a skunk striped highlights!!!! Even my co workers couldn't believe. Will never walk into her salon again. Ugh!! I even showed her a photo this time. Nope. She clearly is not a hair stylist.

I had previously been to Cher and Co for a trim to see if I felt comfortable with them dying my hair and cutting moving forward. After that initial trim I booked an appointment for August for a cut and color after talking to the person who was cutting my hair and she talked about her experiences with cut and color. I should have asked to see her portfolio. I used this reference photo for color and asked for a shag haircut in addition to this. I clearly didn't get that color. Instead of this it was incredibly chunky early 2000s highlights. Maybe for someone but not for me and not what I asked for. I went into another salon in the greater twin cities area the next day and they blended it as much as they could. I don't have photos of this but they were surprised my hair had been profesionally done as they found "numerous" spots throughout my hair where the lightener had fallen out of foils and created round bleach spots within my hair. I also had them check the cut and they said that the cut wasn't a true shag and that the layers had been to bluntly cut and were cut to cave inward instead of blend and go out. No clear photos of that either unfortunately. Im giving two stars because everyone was professional and kind and they used nice products and there was another women there when I got my service done that genuinely seemed to love how her color and cut from another stylist turned out, however before you book I would STRONGLY recommend asking to see examples of someone's portfolio first. I wish I would have done that as it would have saved me over $200 to get my hair redone if I had went elsewhere to begin with.

I made a last minute appointment yesterday and was so grateful that they could fit me in. It was my first time there and I had Cher. She was just the sweetest and made me feel so comfortable. She was patient with my thick long hair and gave an amazing cut with layers! You can tell she really enjoys her job. This place deserves more good reviews. :)

This is the only place that can get my hair right!!!!! Great service and friendly staff!
