BUNGALOW/8 Hairdressing in Omaha, NE

I had read rave reviews and have been looking for a new stylist for the last year. I was set up a stylist with a few days and in a time frame that was perfect for my schedule. A great location to boot- very central.

Sadly, the front desk was more focused on making plans for after work than check me in. The stylist who cut my hair seemed like I was interrupting her time and did not even ask what I wanted done so I was given a trim. I was hoping to take off 4-5 inches. She didn't talk me. Took 40 minutes to blow dry my hair when my hair is fairly thin...I have natural wave and usually just ask for a bit of product and diffuse it but she didn't ask how I wanted it styled either. My hair looked nice, I will give her that, but the whole customer service experience was extremely cold. Not returning.

I really enjoyed getting my hair cut here with Clara. She moved away since I visited but I do think I will come here again and see another stylist for my haircuts. They use/sell bumble & bumble products which are my favorite. It was super easy and convenient to book an appointment here with their online system. My haircut turned out really nice and it was exactly what I asked for. The ambiance of the salon is very pleasing and they offer you a drink while you wait for your appointment. I'd recommend coming here for haircuts. It's also close by to Trader Joe's/Whole Foods for errands right after!

This was my first experience not only at Bungalow 8 but also at this type of hair salon as I have spent the last 40 years at places like Sports Clips, Great Clips etc. I decided to grow my hair out and finally felt I needed a more professional spot with greater talent. No offense to any other place as they have served me well for years. I called to make an appointment and as expected they are booked out pretty well but depends who you want to see. My wife recommended Elise. I was quite nervous coming into it and Elise did a fantastic job. Very easy going and helpful. I highly recommend her and will feel much more at ease for my next cut.

So I actually went to the sister shop - Satellite Salon.  Lexi cut my hair and did a fantastic job!! You can tell that she is extremely well versed in all things hair and has the knowledge to give you the style that you're looking for. I've had a few traumatic cuts in the past so I'm always nervous in the seat, but she took such great care of my long, thick, curly hair!! Will definitely be getting routine care done at Bungalow!

The salon is nice overall regarding the environment and most of the staff. However, Taylor was not. I went to Taylor a while back for a color. I specifically asked her to not layer my hair, and she did anyways and lied about it. She believed that her opinion of my hair held greater weight than my own. The unprofessionalism did not end there. I decided to seek out a new stylist and was left with no choice but to chop off a good amount of my hair to fix my atrocious layers. Following this, Taylor directly contacted me questioning my decisions which I made me unbelievably uncomfortable. It reaffirmed that I made the correct decision to find someone that respected my wishes more to do my hair. I would recommend this salon, under the condition that a stylist other than Taylor does your hair.
