Angel Nails in Champaign, IL

I WAS a long time customer of over 14 years, but that will stop as a month ago. I went in to get my nails filled on a thurseday, no one was there with four techs doing nothing. I asked Van if I could get a fill and she said come back 45 minutes later, I said how about another lady that wasnt doing any thing to see if she would do my nails, and she wouldnt even look up at me and told Van she only wanted to do pedicures today. I was shocked for that was the lady I gave a very good tip at christmas time. I was very shocked and very disappointed with them not wanting to wait on me. I cant go back ever again, for the lack of respect they have shown me other times too, and I continued to let it slide. They do very good work, but they talk in their own language too much, and it makes you feel like they are making fun of you.

I came here for a pedicure last week and it was a good experience! This week I brought my boyfriend and we both got our nails done. I got a fill and he got a gel manicure. Both our manicurists were very talented. I would say my only gripe is that when my hands got dusty, I didn't get to wash them or a wet towel, which I would have preferred, just a dry paper towel. Also, the nails that were replaced feel a bit flimsier than those I received from another salon, and I think an investment in nicer tips could be worth it. However, for the price, which was very fair, I would recommend.

I am OBSESSED WITH my nails! I forgot to grab my nail tech's name (it was a guy tho), but he did such a fabulous job! I showed him my inspirational picture, in which, he took his time and was very thorough in bringing this design to life! I have been receiving so many compliments on my nails :))) While I didn't have to wait too long even though I didn't have an appointment, I would say the place looked booked (considering it was a weekday morning), so I would recommend making an appointment. They charge transaction fees and a custom full acrylic nail art/design set was $75, which I thought was well worth it for the service I received!

Had a wonderful gel mani pedi by Don yesterday. He was friendly and very talented! The place was full but they are very effecient and the wait was minimal considering it was in the middle of the day on a Saturday. I will be going here in future!

Overall a VERY nice place - however just be aware they tend to rush through everything as they get closer to closing time. There is NO "social distancing" practiced when they are busy and doesn't appear to be any Covid-aware cleaning of equipment between manicure clients. The staff is VERY nice and welcoming. The place is "old-ish and dirty-ish" feeling but still okay and very convenient. Always call for hours as they change sometimes. I would still go there as the quality of their work is very good.
