Many beauty salons experience peak traffic on weekends, especially on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Weekday evenings can also be particularly busy as clients tend to schedule post-work appointments. Booking in advance is always advised, but if you're seeking a less bustling environment, you can inquire with Alina's Hair Salon about their quieter hours.
I've been coming here for years and I will continue to come in. I come to Alina's for the signature wash & set and it comes out perfect every time. I also get my hair trimmed from time to time when I feel it necessary. I've never had any issues. There is also a special Mon - Wed.
Appreciate the upgrades post-Covid. I notice nobody wearing a mask anymore. Also, kids should not be able to be there unless they're being serviced. They take up seats and are noisy. Nothing against children, just prefer to not have to be around kids coughing and sneezing and not covering their mouths. Should put rules in place for people being on their phones, loud and or FaceTiming while being serviced. Creates a different atmosphere when this occurs. Lastly, it's very frustrating when other clients are taken to be styled before me when I arrived sooner and was actually dry. Very frustrating. This salon works in many customers, so I get that it isn't a perfect science, but still. Overall, the experience is not bad. Just needs some professional tweaking.
Dominican salon always get you it said 25 dollar special i keep telling them the 25 special go pay 35.00 dollar I gave the lady tip 5 i was like whatever pay but it pissed me of i drove a half hour they did a good job they hardly carry a conversation was very quiet for a Dominican salon i just moved here would like to carry a conversation find where to get some Dominican food just wasn't welcoming but my hair on fleek
I been coming here for years EBONY use to day my hair . yes I have thick hair. I have been mistreated once before here. And I came back and gave them another chance since today everything have been fine. But today January 7,2020 I will not be coming back two of the employees was so disrespectful I got out of character I felt myself getting the to person I don't want to. But as I came in they seem as if they didn't want to do my hair (like always) the two women never want to do it they makes me wait until somebody else is available. But today it was just them as she was washing my hair she started to comb thru it pulling the Shi* out my hair I said dang she began to yell here here you want to do it then putting the comb in my hand. I said okay asking her what's her problem she began talking in her language I said if you are talking about me can you speak English the lady cane from the back walking towards me with her hand up . I then got mad and told her shut up and get out my face. You'll act as if y'all don't want to do thick hair. As I was combing my hair out another lady ask if I was done so she could finish. This is enough as i African American Women with thick hair I shouldn't be mistreated because of my texture of hair
With the discounted $25 price on Monday's this used to be my go to spot for a wash-set-blowout. Unfortunately inconsistencies in pricing and services offered with my extensions mean tonight is my last time going to Alina. They advertise extensions on the window and I was previously able to have my extensions tightened after my blowout. The last 2 times I have patronized Alina no one is able to tighten my sew in and I have been charged the regular price $45. Although I was happy with the blowout there are too many other Dominican salons in the area, many of whom have free parking, honor their discounted pricing and are able to address all my needs make this likely the past time I will patronize this establishment.
