Came here for the first time based on the recommendation of a coworker. Got a haircut from Christina. Since it was my first time, I received a 20% discount, so my total was around $48 (without tip). What's hot - Quality. Christina did a really great job! She listened to what I wanted, checked in with me and made some recommendations based on what I told her. She had another customer she was finishing up as she was starting with me, but she let me know, so I was prepared. - Scheduling. You can schedule on their website, which is helpful, because it's more straightforward. I was also in and out in less than 1 hour, which was great. - Cost. Pretty good value for money. Because it was my first time here, they gave me a 20% discount. I was told that whenever a customer refers someone, the seasoned customer will also get a 20% discount. - Location. Pretty conveniently located and easy to find. - Parking. They have a small parking lot in front of their shop AND a few designated spots specifically for Bananas' customers. Definitely helpful, especially because they're so close to the university. What's not - Hair wash. Not really a deep clean. I appreciate hair washes when my scalp is massaged. For my hair wash, it only lasted a few seconds and their staffer barely touched my scalp. - Schedule. They're closed on Sundays, which can be inconvenient. - Credit card fee. The credit card fee is passed to the customer, so be prepared. - Tip. I was planning on tipping using my credit card, but wasn't able to. I saw a piece of paper taped on their front counter showing Zelle or Venmo accounts for their staff. I didn't use it, because I presumed I could tip via my credit card, which I couldn't. So it appears you tip their staff via cash or a payment app. Be prepared. Final Answer Pretty good and plan on returning.

I am super excited to leave this review. I actually came here in the Fall of 2021. I called into book my appointment and allowed them to book me with whoever was available. That was my fault and something I'll never do again. I was booked with Natasha. My hair is dark and I have been a honey blonde with low and high lights for over 20 years. The amount of money and maintenance put into my hair has been insane. I needed a root touch up. I was honest with Natasha that my hair was difficult but she assured me she was not scared. I was so happy that she was confident. Unfortunately my hair did not come out right. I had to come back a few times and even after the final attempt I was left with orange hair. I was DEVASTATED! I didn't write a bad review because the manager was super apologetic and even added treatments to my hair for the inconvenience. Needless to say, I stayed clear from this salon because of my first experience. A few months later I gave in! I knew that there were some veteran hair stylist in the salon and I decided to call back and specifically ask for the names on all the good reviews. I was able to get Katie! Katie was completely honest on how we had to get back to my old me. Katie also happened to be the manager who helped me not cry with my first experience. I am soooooo happy I came back! My hair is back to normal. I took tons of pictures in my car today after my appointment, and it's safe to say I have my go-to stylist! I have mixed hair and grew up in a salon all my life. I can confidently say Katie is the BEST. I am IN LOVE! I literally left the salon today and said I love you. And left with happy tears!

I had heard good things about this salon. When I went in, the receptionist was very nice. The lady who cut my hair was also nice, however, my haircut sucks. My brother and I went to this location yesterday for trims. His came out choppy and chunky, same with mine. Not what I asked for. I was quite disappointed, given the good reviews. EDIT: The manager reached out to me about this review, and was very kind and offered a make up appointment. I really appreciate the customer service.

I had a great experience at Bananas. Christina dyed my hair in brilliant red streaks, and my husband, children, and friends are raving about it. And they think I got a great price! This was my first experience with dramatic hair coloring, and the stylists took their time studying the picture i brought and discussing the different ways to achieve the effect I wanted. I will definitely come back again.

So Kathleen saw my review & offered to let me get my hair fixed for free by her or another stylist. I appreciated the offer and came in today to have her adjust my haircut. I forgot to note in my original review that Kathleen blow dried my hair straight so I didn't realize the parts of the haircut I was unhappy with until I was home. I would've been transparent if I had noticed while still there. I did genuinely appreciate her adjusting my haircut and while it can't be entirely fixed (hair takes time to grow unfortunately lol), I am satisfied. I do think I'll come back here again, they definitely care about your satisfaction (or at least Kathleen does)!
