You can often save 50-90% by finding a Groupon. The average cost varies by location, but your best bet is to check the app right before arriving; it's often worth buying in the car before even stepping foot inside. Worth the extra five minutes!
A decent little grocery with great prices and easy to shop products. I don't need 10 different choices for cream cheese. I just want spaghetti sauce, I don't want to look through a whole shelf at different kind's. This is the beauty of ALDI! All the stuff you need without the bullshit. Organic produce, nice lunch meats, dips, salsa. They have almost everything at a good price. You may not find that one specialty ingredient you use every once in awhile, but they do have most.
Here are my takes on ALDI style:
Checkout Lines look long, but move fast. Bring your own bag, stop using plastic bags. Always remember to keep a quarter in your car for a cart. Put the cart back, don't leave it in the parking lot. Customers usually let people cut when they only have 1 or 2 things. They have nice restrooms. Look for the red and white signs for special deals. Always go with a list!
Aldi is my love language and this is the best in town! It is never too busy, the aisles are huge, and of course the cashiers are speedy. They offer many organic food options, all the wine, and the charcuterie section is unmatched. Don't get me started on the aisle of shame! That is aldi nerd speak for the middle aisle where you'll see must-have items ranging from candles to camping gear. If you're not an Aldi shopper, start at this location and you'll be sure to become one! Grab your quarter and have a ball!
Haven't been to Aldi in years. I am trying to break out of my habit of going to one main chain to get groceries. I remember Aldi being a little different than it is now. I took my own bags and made sure I had a quarter for a cart. Also made sure they take credit cards. They didn't use to. They have some national brand stuff like Kraft Miracle Whip and Kraft Shells and Cheese. The Cheese and Charcuterie area rivals most other chains. Will have to see if we like the taste of things like the ketchup. I'm picky about ketchup. They didn't have any chocolate ice cream or Lysol Laundry Sanitizer, but other then that found what I needed and more. If they got rid of the stuff I call crap in the middle aisle they could carry more grocery items.
I had not been in an Aldi store in quite a few years since I moved to Indy, so when I stopped in to pick up a few items, I was reminded of how wonderful Aldi really is and how great of a selection they have on products. The unique thing about Aldi is they promote recycled bags and organic natural products. You have to put in a quarter at the slot to obtain a shopping cart and use recycled bags to bag your own groceries. The best part of Aldi is how cheap it is to shop there among other grocery store brands. They have unbeatable prices on their produce and selection of products. I save money here than at other grocery stores. I like the fact that they promote recycling and using recycled bags for groceries because it shows they are doing their part to help take care of the environment. I plan to shop at Aldi regularly going forward, because you cannot go wrong with their products and their prices. It's incredible!
My Aldi rocks!! Almost always has what I want and need!!!
And what's best is that it's very close to my house!!!!!
