T & J Nails in Washington, MO

I asked for short and square nails and wanted the tip and then acrylic on top. She did acrylic dip color on top of my real nail. She didn't file my nails before doing anything & was in a hurry to get my nails done. After she was done, she took my card and I paid $41 for this. I should have waited to go to my regular nail lady. I would have never paid $41 with my regular nail lady. Also there's no sign of prices at their shop so I could have overpaid & wouldn't know it so be cautious.

Great job putting my husband at ease with his first pedicure.  We will be back for certain!

I went here to get my nails done for my birthday and after waiting 10 minutes for the top coat of my dip manicure to dry, I had to ask where hand lotion was because the tech had already started on another customer. I left the salon with grime under my nails and dip dried around them. I went back in and asked them to fix it and she was not apologetic at all and grabbed my hand and used the tool to get the stuff out from underneath and made my thumb start bleeding. Never going here again.

Walked in at 430pm yesterday and was told the wait would be about 30 minutes and it was, walked out at about 645pm. The place was not busy at all. The women working were upbeat and chatty. Everything seemed okay so I stayed which was a huge mistake. I showed the woman 3 photos and she chose the ombre photo which was fine by me. She asked the length and i showed her which was also the length in the photo, she began cutting the tips while telling me that nobody has long nails like that anymore and asking how i could do anything with nails that long...and she cut them all way too short. She then asked if I'd ever had dip nails done before to which I said no but I did have the pink/white acrylic done several times. She asked how much I pay for them elsewhere to which I replied "how much do you charge" she said $60 but it's $70 or $80 with my tip. So I told her I tip based on how well the job was done. At this point she had a couple layers on my nails and showed me asking if I like it,I simply stated that I don't know yet because they're not done but that they were too short anyway. During the course I asked if she enjoys doing dip nails and she said "no, it's too hard and takes too long" so I told her she should have chosen one of the other pictures that were just gel polish but she said she can't tell the customer no. For the record, she would not have been telling me no, she would have still chosen one of my options. Many more things were said by her while she proceeded to fail, but let's keep this somewhat short. My nails are short, uneven, misshapen, dip powder stuff all over my cuticles,  sore, and she followed me to where my boyfriend was sitting to retrieve her $60 in cash, as if I was going to run out of the filthy establishment having not paid. She got a $5 tip as a courtesy and in all honesty, I regret that. They should have paid me for this set of nails that look like a toddler did in someone's crusty basement with no lights on. I will try to add photos of what she said she could do and photos of the mess that I now have to pay someone to remove and redo. I have no idea how this place is in business. A full refund would be nice.

when I first started out here, they were excellent. However, overtime they seem to be in a rush and my nails look horrible and fell off and I went back and got them fixed and they are still crooked and the paint looks rough.
