I've followed 4 Friends from their place on Stevens Ave to their new location on Washington Ave. My favorite stylist, Sharon, is unbelievably kind and talented but the whole staff is so warm and friendly. They really make you feel like part of the family. When I left for college, I made sure to fly home from New Orleans every time I needed my hair done. Sharon always perfects my haircut and highlights -- I 1000% recommend her for all your hair needs!
I got my hair butchered by Stephanie...and the worst highlights ever, I had to get them done 2 weeks later...she has no idea how to color or cut hair..Sadly I actually paid her almost 300 dollars !!!!! Complete robbery...
I told her you are the professional please give me a cute cut with highlights, she did nothing...my hair is awful....
Do NOT go to this salon....They will rip you off and leave you with crap hair and say, oh but come back, I will fix it and charge you more!!!!

Clean salon, but had the worst haircut of my life. Can't wait for it to grow out. I don't think she knew how to cut the style I requested and just kept hacking on it, with poor results. She was one of the owners, so I thought she'd have the experience to know what she was doing. Never going back.
I've been going to Traci for my color for years and years. Even when I lived in Florida. When I would come to Maine I would see her. I've had my hair done at top salons in NYC, Miami, LA, and can't even come close to her color and styling. She is an alchemist. Even the day before my touch up when my hair looks it's crappiest, I get compliments from strangers. Four Friends Salon. The best on the planet!!!!
