Wonderful experience! Booked easily online and received a couple of text reminders before my appointment. The salon is clean and pretty inside. Not fancy or flashy, just inviting and comfortable. Kate listened when I described what I wanted for both color and cut, and she was spot on with both! I hadn't had a haircut in quite some time so she really had nothing to go on except my description of what I wanted it to look like. This was one of the best haircuts I've ever had - I like my hair very short, and Kate was able to keep it feminine looking and soft. Kate is friendly and easy to talk with. Prices are very reasonable. Parking on the street in front of or near the salon, or on the street behind the salon. I am so happy I found East Edge Salon and will definitely return!
I live in Maine in the summer and travel the rest of the year, but Kate at The East Edge Salon is the best hairdresser I've ever had! From my first appointment, Kate knew how best to cut and style my hair and her foils brightened my color for a perfectly natural look. I'll be back every summer!

I made an appointment through their online system. (At least a week ahead of time; I don't remember exactly how far out but at least a week.) All things indicated that I'd booked at a time when someone was available.
The DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, I got this automated email:
Your appointment request at East Edge Salon Inc. was not accepted. You can request another appointment here.
I get that maybe there was a problem with their online system mistakenly recording a time as available, but in that case they should have notified me sooner that the appointment wasn't available before I'd blocked off time on my schedule for it!
I get that maybe something came up last-minute, but in that case they should have had a human send an email apologizing and explaining the situation!
They literally just sent an automated email day-of, and you'll notice there's not even an apology for wasting my time.
Not recommended.
