Come once to 3's Company, and you'll be treated like a guest. Come more than once, and you'll be treated like family. Every stylist is competent, to boot! My visits would often be with the same woman, and we'd talk like old friends, catching up and what not. Pam, the generous owner (and also stylist), is definitely worth knowing. She cut my hair when my usual stylist was on holiday, and after I casually mentioned that I was to graduate high school soon, she did it for free! Now that's Southern hospitality. Unfortunately (and it really is unfortunate), they don't specialize in curly hair, so I've moved on to other salons in New York. But whenever I'm back in NC to visit, I always find an excuse to stop by and say hello, even it's just to trim my sideburns.
