I've been here twice now after just moving to the area. The first time I went I walked in and the stylist had an opening. She seemed very friendly and was pleasant. I just did the big chop a few months ago so my hair at the time was a mini fro. She was gentle with my edges and scalp and seemed to actually care. Just a few days ago I went back. I tried to schedule an appointment but there was no response so I ended up going in the next day as a walk in. No biggie. I had to wait some time because the other people had appointments which I didn't have a problem with. I see the stylist that did my hair the last time walk in and I was excited because of the great care she took with my hair. Unfortunately, the second time was not a great experience at all. When she started my hair she see seemed extremely annoyed to even be working. The entire experience was just unprofessional. She was constantly on the phone or needing to take a break. She didn't say anything and after a few braids on the side I could tell that the braids were extremely tight and that my edges were braided into them. I politely asked her to leave my edges out because I don't want a ton of tension. I also told her that some of the braids were too tight and asked her to loosen them going on. She told me my hair was short and she had to put them in tight. Which I could understand if it was that way the first time. However my hair is a couple inches longer than it was. Just feeling my scalp there are little bumps from the tension and at this point I just want to take them out and save my hair. Furthermore, if you do decide to go here get your price up front. The first time I went she told me the price was $180 then changed it to $160 because I didn't have cash and she had to call her boss to do payment over the phone. This last time I went was $165 for the same exact style. I rarely write reviews but I'm extremely unhappy with this service and I will never go back here again.. to any hair braiding shop for that matter.

I made an appointment at Zenith's for senegalese twists after being referred by a friend. I called to request an appointment yesterday (Friday), and they were able to see me when I wanted today (10AM Saturday). Zenith's seems to be open by appointment only on weekends, so definitely call ahead. I arrived right on time for my appointment and only had to wait 10 minutes or so for one of my stylists to arrive. She started my hair promptly, and soon after another stylist came in to help me. Three others had their hair done during the time I was getting mine done. They had simpler styles, cornrows, and were seen promptly and finished efficiently. Inside was neat and clean. The stylists were pretty friendly, though my first stylist didn't really ask what I wanted aside from style and length before I started. I ended up requesting that she made my twists thicker after the first two, so it was fine! My twists were $180 and they go down my back. Shorter twists are $160, and I believe they go a bit below the shoulders. With two stylists working on my hair, it took about 4 hours. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my hair. I think I'll be coming here next time as well!
