Whimsy is a fantastic salon! I am in my 4th year of college in Montana, but I only get my hair cut and styled here in Boise by Sharon. She always does an excellent job, and gives great product recommendations as well as tips and tricks to keep my hair healthy. When I was in high school, I went to Sharon for hair styling for dances and it always looked beautiful. If you're looking for a salon in the Boise area Whimsy is your place!
Sharon..I do not nor do I think anyone else appreciates being charged $130 for a professional stylist to get "lessons." That should have been covered in school. So happy I was able to "help" her out. Ridiculous! Sad way to run a salon.
I had an ok experience my first cut and color with Amanda. She seemed preoccupied and at one point I was under the heater she left for an extended period and when she came back her coworkers commented they thought she went home. Ended ok, she did a good job on the color. She asked I text/call to schedule the next appt. When I called she didn't responded so I called the salon and left a message, still no response. I gave it a few days and text her seeing if she got my message she said she was out of the country on vacation, still didn't offer an appointment.
Bottom line of you decide as a professional you don't want to see someone, tell them.
This salon was awesome!!!! From the time I walked in until I walked out I felt welcome and valued as a customer. Bless was a miracle worker. She was able to fix a horrible dye job I had done. She gave me a cute haircut and explained to me every step of the way what she was going to do. I will definitely be back. It was well worth the drive from Mountain Home to have my hair done by her. She is a true blessing.
