Allay Spa in Boise, ID

I always enjoy seeing Tommy and Laura, long time owners of this great nail salon. I have been coming to them for over 15 years and they always do a fantastic job with my pedicure and manicure. Their prices are fair, they don't pressure for upgrades and the conversation is always fun I recommend them.

I have been going to Allay for over ten years. It's the only nail salon I'll use. The owners are amazing people and I always leave with beautiful nails. Seriously cannot recommend them enough! I get compliments every week on the pink and white gel set I get.

RUDE AF!!! Literally the Worst pedicure I've EVER had and was in and out of there in 25 minutes!!! $40 I'll never get back!!!! AVOID this trashy place!!

0% attention to detail or pride in their work.  They didn't cut my nails or attend to cuticles whatsoever. No massage, sloppy work and quality overall (both product and service) was absolutely not worth the cost. They are extremely overpriced!  I'd never recommend this salon and will never return.

I wanted to love this place because I just moved into Boise and needed a new dipping powder salon. Despite the horrible reviews I took a chance, and regret it!  The owners are very sweet...but...

This was, HANDS DOWN, the worst manicure and pedicure I've ever had in 40 years   The lack of detail was unlike anything I've ever experienced and she seemed oblivious to it.

There was no nail or cuticle prep. Literally nothing; no cuticle push back, no cleaning under nails, no cuticle cutting, no little tool used to pull up toenail corners, no soft filing to make toe or finger nail edges smooth or even. My toe and nail edges are so rough and uneven right now I could leave scratches!

The way she took off my previous dip powder manicure was unlike anything I've seen, she had me put my entire hands in a tiny dirty plastic bowl full of acetone and then in the messiest way ever took 20-30 mins with a papertowel and a drill to get my old manicure off. This was surreal and should have been my 1st clue.

The sloppy/messy work left gel crust, powder, filings, and polish all over and under my nails, toes, and cuticles; it was SO bad all I could do was laugh or I'd have lost my cool.  I still have 2 nails that aren't even shiny, with bare nail showing on the sides from being over filed after the polish was put on.  I came home and used my own cuticle cutters to try to salvage this mess. It's unfixable and I'll be in another salon tomorrow to have it ALL re-done.

My feet are so bad I don't even want to go in public!  They are terrible!  My toe nails are SO uneven and my big toes are cut straight across with no filing. (see the pictures!)

I can't believe I paid someone to do this work! In all honesty, my 9 year old does better when she does my nails.

I made it clear I was unhappy (in a polite way), but it was too late...fixing the job would have required starting from scratch and I already spent almost 3 hours there, and wasn't confident she even knew what she was doing.

There was no arm or hand lotion or massage.

The worst part, is it was also the longest and most expensive mani/pedi I've ever paid for! ($92.50)

My friend LOVES the husband/owner, so maybe he's good, but his wife should not be doing nails.

Please DO NOT believe them when they say they do dipping powder!  It is NOT THE TECHNIQUE OR OUTCOME any other salon does or uses for dipping powder!
