Waters Day Spa in South Lake Tahoe, CA

The most unprofessional service I have ever experienced from a spa. I have no idea why they label themselves as the #1 premier day spa of South Lake Tahoe. I only gave 1 star because I couldn't give NO star. I called 3 weeks before the date I wanted to book facials and mani/pedis for my daughter and I. This was part of my daughter's 14th birthday celebration. I was told I would get a call back to confirm since I was asking for multiple services. I never received a call back. And when I called to confirm my appt I was told they no longer have anyone doing manis/pedis AND they never booked my appt. I never even made it in their front door, but their front desk service tells me to stay away from this place. They don't know how to run a spa business and clearly have no care for their customers.

I was having some serious lower back pains, tried to deal, hoping it would go away, no luck.. So I decided to try the massage route before heading to a doctor to just be loaded up on pills.. All I can say is WOW! Best massage I've ever had, Becky was amazing.. She didn't just flop me on the table and get to massaging, she asked exactly what it was that was bothering me, how long, how serious, etc.. After my hour with her, I felt like a new man... Thanks Becky!

Had a pedicure there yesterday and Erika was fantastic! She was thorough and detailed. My mom forgot to take sandals to leave in and Erika went out of her way to find a pair for my mom. She was great and I highly recommend!

Do not go here if you have more than yourself....they can't handle the business. I have been getting my nails done for years and this was hands down the most expensive and unprofessional experience I have ever had. I had my wedding party go here the day before my wedding. I could have had it done somewhere else but as a former local to Tahoe I am a big fan of contributing to local business....Several of the girls had to have their toes done more than once because the color came out lumpy and they tried to blame it on a ceiling fan. $45...but it includes everything? They didn't take care of my cuticles, I couldn't get a French manicure because after the fourth try on my mother they still messed it up. One of the girls working there was the former owner...I have a hard time believing she ever went to beauty school. A normal pedicure feels amazing and looks amazing....my mom's polish was smearing 4 hours after she had them done and they looked horrible on my wedding day, my toe polish was off on the big toes before I even walked down the isle and it wasn't even what I wanted on my big day to begin with. The girls were certainly nice people I will give them that, but I could have had a five year old paint my toes and gotten the same result. And not to mention that business must be bad because only two of the four chairs were actually working. soooothe moral of the story is don't spend $300 at this place because it's a rip off. They should have known better than to ask us for a review. Perhaps they can use that $300 to clean up their place a bit, buy some new nail polish that works and hire girls who have been to beauty school. Thanks for ruining my spa day before my wedding.

Great for: - A spa treatment that gains you access to a full scale gym. -A non-crowded atmosphere Not great for: - That pampered feeling in a posh setting. I gave this place four stars because I knew I was getting a treatment here so that i could skip the $25 day fee that Push Fitness charges. As a visitor to Tahoe, I am always bummed at how expensive a day pass is to the local gyms. If you buy a treatment here, you can use the gym before or after your treatment. I got to Push Fitness at 8am and used the gym for two hours before splurging on a facial for myself. No, it wasn't the absolute greatest facial I've ever had, but at $85, it was comparable to facials in the area and it was relaxing. There was no one else in the entire spa but me at 10am on a Wednesday so it was nice and quiet. I'd go back! Also, mention their "brochure" when you call in to make an appointment and you'll get 10% off.
