I had such a great experience at Viva Nail Spa today! I had some free time and walked to this nearby salon to get a gel manicure, and left feeling beyond satisfied. My nail tech was Trina, and she was extremely friendly and efficient. The entire ambiance was so calming and relaxing. I felt at ease and my nails turned out exceptional. I would recommend this spa to anyone who is in this area!
What a relaxing place. Friendly family owned. Everyone was so sweet. I liked how the whole family helped me relax and have a great time. I also liked that they did not use the "grater" to get the rough edges off of my feet. She used the razor for the calluses and then she used a pumice stone then a foot file. I truly loved the whole experience. Mrs. Nuygen made it so easy to just relax. The foot massage was amazing.
After being recommended to go here for a full set I decided to give it a try. I called on Tuesday and scheduled 2 pedicures at 5pm and one of those is also getting a full set for Saturday. I was told okay no problem. Come Saturday I was pulling into the parking lot when I got a phone call at 4:54 to ask if I was going to show up for my appointment. When I said yes I am pulling into the parking lot I got hung up on. I tried to be there earlier but with leaving work and coming from the other side of the James River Bridge that was as soon as I could (which was still not late). Walk inside and was told to pick a color. I picked a color and waited. Me and my boyfriend were then seated for our pedicures. Our pedicures were going great! As I am about halfway through my pedicures a man came up and asked about me getting a full set. I shows him the design I was looking to get and the shape and he said he could do that. He then comes over with mail tips and starts putting them on as I'm still getting my pedicure. He also put the acrylic on as well. I was unable to fully enjoy my pedicure as I felt very rushed. I then did not get the shape or design that I asked for. What I asked for is the first 2 pictures (shape then design) and the last picture is what I got. Needless to say will likely not be going back! And if you want a full set and pedicure schedule it for different times or days!
