Tina nails bar in Portland, OR

I went and had Jessica fill nails was my first time there. I was very impressed with the quality and service I got while I was there. I will definitely use this place again and again.

Used to get great mani/pedis here. The last 2 times had issues. Had to get nails redone 2x from Chrome to a completely different design because of lumps on every nail. Also used the drill to remove old shellac on my natural nails, rather than soaking. Still paid nearly $135 for mani/pedi, including tip.

This last time used drill AGAIN to take old shellac off and buff. Nails are now thinner and weaker. She was rough and borderline aggressive working on my hands. Cut corners, the entire experience was unpleasant.

So I loved this place. Today I called to make an appointment and asked for availability at 3:30, I was told not at that time but could I come in around 4:30 ? I asked for Tina, the owner, for my 12 year old daughter, who has been in several times with me to have nails done. She asked to have a full set of nails she wanted, paying with her birthday money . I was just having a fill. We got there 25 minutes before the appointment but sat and looked at halloween designs. This lady comes in and said I had an appointment for 3:30, but Tina, my mom & I have been sitting next door at the bar talking, can I still get them done? Another nail tech said it's 4:30 and we already have 2 appointments waiting. She went out and talked to Tina, who was still talking to this woman's mother outside. It was 4:35 at this time. Tina then came in & said I made appointments for pedicure & fill and now I would have to wait an hour, so she could do this lady's nails. I told her in all the time I had been coming there, I had never gotten a pedicure.. I made an appointment for a full set for my daughter, with her & a fill for me with anyone. She knew she was making accuses. I had called and talked to her. This hurt my feelings. It hurt my daughters feelings. I have spent a lot of money having nails done. 100 dollars for one set plus tip, for one person, plus a fill for me. We are headed out of town, and I told her this, but she expected me to be ok with waiting another hour because this lady had missed her appointment while sitting and talking in a bar.. I was really sad that she was making up something to excuse putting us off. The other nail looked shocked as well about it. Tina if you read this, that hurt my daughters feelings. She was there when I made the appointment and heard what I asked for & she asked for you. She also asked when we left why you couldn't of had the lady who missed her appointment to come back. We are good customers and are always on time and tip decently. I am sorry this happened because we won't return. Customers are not always right but in this case we made the appointments, were even early to arrive and then I was told I was not telling the truth about type of appointments I made & you brushed us off for a lady who missed her appointment. We're sad...

Not worth the money. Pedicure was only 30 minutes long and did not include a massage. Polish is a good 1-2 millimeters away from each cuticle. Overall, a sloppy job.

Sad to update this as it has been my go to place when I choose to get my nails done. I'm deciding to move on and pursue other places. I feel the prices here have been inconsistent and the quality has declined. After this last Saturday I will not be going back. I got a mani pedi which was regular polish on my toes and gel color on my fingers (no design).The total was $82 and i didn't get any breakdown of my total even when I asked she had just said for both which was odd. Not to mention the lady accidentally soaked my entire jeans (crotch area) with water and it was uncomfortable to say the least to sit in wet jeans. It was still wet when i left and was extremely cold outside. I got no discount on anything.. the pedicure process felt rushed and the massage felt weak and wasn't timed. I do like how my nails/toes looked but for the price and experience I don't feel it was worth it.
