It is a warm professional place without a massive display of products and pretension. They do recommend their products but they aren't high pressure. They take their profession seriously and have received extensive training. Oh, and the prices are very very reasonable!

After a service issue at my usual stylist that kept me from getting a trim, I ended up on Vina the SAME DAY. The owners are brother and sister, and the sister fit me in. The cut was great, and I was in and out in a jiffy. Small salon, but comfortable and clean with ample parking in the Willow Lawn block. I will more than likely be back!
I have used Vina salon for years. Hung is my stylist. He does great color and cuts. I highly recommend Vina salon to anyone looking for a new stylist. The location by Willow Lawn is very convenient.
Today I got a Brazilian blow out and I had such a great experience at Vina! Hung is super awesome and talented, I had a great time talking with him. His dog, Hogan, is super cute and made the atmosphere so friendly and inviting. My Brazilian blowout was only $250, at every other salon in Richmond it is a minimum of $300 and even more expensive if you have long and/or thick hair. Super affordable, yet very high quality. I will now only be going to Vina for my hair care needs. Thanks Hung!
