I've had Ratha cut my hair twice and color once, and every time I am extremely satisfied. I have challenging hair- thick, straight in the front and wavy in the back- and she takes her time and cuts it well. My last haircut was a big change for me (from medium length to short French bob with bangs). I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life (men, women, kids even). I've had people ask where I got my hair done and I gladly give out her info.
She is fantastic- kind and efficient and extremely good at what she does. 100% recommend.
I don't have anything but positive things to say about this place. Ratha is super nice and understanding, walking me through each step of what she does to ensure that I understand what is happening to my hair. She was also very patient with me as I was quite indecisive with what I wanted to do with my hair. She answered all my questions (which was a lot) thoughtfully and honestly.
She used a lot of care to ensure my hair (black Asian hair) doesn't get damaged in the bleaching process. She recommended products that I get to maintain my hair and talked me through my options. She's also super entertaining to be around, the four hours I spent there flew by. Her sense of music is also great.
There is a bathroom there in case you need to go during your appointment and she also provides a plethora of snacks in case you get hungry. The shop is very clean and well decorated.
Overall, this was an amazing experience and definitely worth the money, I'd say her prices are quite good too. Check out Urban Apsara if you want to get your hair done of any kind.

I cheated on my usual hair stylist when I walked passed on Hawthorne one day and I will say it was the best thing I've ever done. She worked so well with my dark hair and treated me like family. Even my friends that tagged along said they would be coming back for their hair as well.
