Highly recommend. The space was unique and super cozy. Riley is awesome! She was extremely easy to talk to and my hair looks exactly like the picture I showed her. Prices are very reasonable. Very happy with my experience. I will be returning here for my next haircut.
I was a client of Ronel's years ago before moving out of state. I recently was visiting metro Detroit and needed a haircut, Riley was awesome. She is very personable and gave me a great cut for an appropriate price (where I live it is $$$). I have always had a wonderful experience here and will save my next cuts for when I am visiting again. Highly recommend!
I've been going to Ronel for years! Today I got my hair colored for the first time and was feeling extremely nervous about it but he recreated exactly what I wanted. Always extremely friendly service & clean space. They take your temperature and clean thoroughly between clients. There are closed out areas for each person. I always feel at home when I'm at Upstares Salon. Will always recommend!
Decent haircut, agreeable price. I'll quite likely be back -- but I am so frustrated by salons advertising "scalp massage" as part of their haircut, then never delivering, because you guessed it, while I got perfectly fine shampoo and trim there was NOTHING resembling a scalp massage. I suppose for the price, I can't complain too much, I just wish shops would promising something their stylists clearly have no desire to do.
