Very disappointed I had made an appt yesterday only to get there and be told that the nail tech left.  In the future you may want to make sure you get someone's number to let them know rather than having them drive 20 miles!

This was the worst experience I've pretty much had at any establishment here in Kokomo, not just nails, any business... I brought my 2 daughters and our 2 cousins from New York to Today's nails last weekend... I thought it would be nice to have them get manicures and pedicures right before school started... Short story, pedicures went ok, the girls enjoyed them but all they did was cut the nails, no filing, no cuticle work... They painted and moved on. I thought, well ok. Then they started painting the girls' nails while they were in the pedicure chairs! It was weird! Again, no cutting, no filing, no cuticle, nothing, all they did was paint their nails! Seriously, I'm a single Dad and i can freaking paint their nails!!! I'm not sure what exactly i paid 35 bucks and tip for? Best part, one daughter had the paint from a whole nail come off 5 hours later in the pool, and the other had 4 chips already after just a few hours. Seriously shoddy work, no pride in what they do. Do NOT waste your hard earned dollars at this place, they don't seem to give a rat's arse. Find a better place!

Quality work. However, I noticed that they are not as friendly to African Americans than their other clients.  They are very unfriendly.

my best friend had booked appointments for her bridal party (5 of us) several weeks in advance. on new year's day, we arrived for our mani/pedi's & were immediately greeted & ushered to our stations. the shop had just opened, so a few workers were still getting their things around, which was no big deal whatsoever.

my pedi was the first to get started & everything was great. although i didnt get names, it was a younger man who was tasked with giving me just a basic french pedicure. he was professional, worked efficiently, & made my toes look great!

i was done before the rest of the girls, so i was escorted to a mani station where a new lady went to work. surprisingly, she immediately pulled out the buffer & just started going at it. not even once did she do any basic cuticle work. it took forever for her to "sand" the nails down, & she continuously let my skin get nicked by the tool until i literally had blood running down my fingers. i made it clear to her that she was hurting me & she would apologize, but continue on. at this point, the other girls see the pained look on my face, coupled with the blood on my hands, & they all look on in horror.

my "fantastic" technician finally decides to start the gluing process & gets 4 nails before she realizes that they were the wrong kind. SO SHE TORE THEM OFF. AFTER THEY WERE ALREADY GLUED. i'm near tears at this point, but trying to be a trooper for the sake of my best friend's wedding weekend, so i bite my lips until she gets them glued on successfully. I'm finally sent to the sink to clean up & i spent several minutes trying to stop the blood & soothe my nail beds.

by the time i sit back down, all the other girls are already done with their nails completely & are sitting at the drying station (but keep in mind that i had started well before them). as i place my hands back on the table, the technician says, "you washed your nails already? you didn't do a very good job." i'm sorry lady, i was a little too focused on cleaning blood off my hands & didnt pay enough attention to the nails. she continues on, applying the acrylic mixture until she decides that she needs to send a text. so while my hand is on hers, she opens her drawer, pulls out her phone & composes a text. the other girls are ready to go & are just silently watching this nightmare play out. i'm still bleeding, my nails arent even close to being done, & my technician is now looking at the calendar on her phone. she finally decides to put her phone away & finish up with me. the result was several crooked nails, bloody fingertips, a piece of black fuzz in one nail, & her fingerprint on another. you know the pain that accompanies getting fake nails after not having them for a while? usually it lasts for a day or two, but fingers hurt for weeks.

the other girls had absolutely beautiful nails, while i paid good money for a manicure my 13-year-old niece could've done better. the bride's stepmom is a regular at this salon & has assured me that that treatment is not normal. it took me over a month to get the nails off & over 4 months later, i'm still paying the price for this lady's excessive buffing. i used to have strong, healthy nails that i could keep at a decent length, but now they break & splinter at the smallest snag, leaving me with nubs.

if you decide to give this place a shot, chances are that you'll be satisfied. but there's also a chance that you'll be given this "gem" of a technician & her work will leave you cursing her name months later. not worth it.
