Tim Cindy Nail Bar At Essentials in Woodbridge, VA

This was my first visit. I was in a hurry so I wanted a regular polish change. I was convinced that a jell polish change would be faster and last longer So I agreed without asking the price. When I was done the manicurist said the price would be $35.00 which I thought was a little high. I gave her my cc and wad charged $35 but then the manager came and said I would need to pay another $5.00 because the polish change was $40! I gave her $5.00 in cash plus $5.0 tip so a polish change cost me $45.00. When I came home and looked at the price list the jell Polish change is $30.00! Can someone please explain this to me as I won't be going back!!

I am very disappointed with my experience here and it has little to do with the service and more to do with the employees. I walked in and no one was at the front desk. A girl was awkwardly staring at me for like 20 seconds before she came up to ask me what I needed. It was very bizarre. Then the lady waxing me barely spoke to me and finished in like two minutes. Normally I go to places that take their time and cut and pluck any leftover hair. I feel like she just didn't care at all. I get that work is busy and people have off days. But if you want to create an inviting space and provide a service, the least the employees could do is be fairly pleasant. A smile would go a long way. I will never step foot in this establishment again.

I went to the salon in Essential Spa and ran into the nail tech, Kane, who was on her way out of the door. She said they usually do appointment only. I explained that I was referred to this location, I was unaware about appointments, but I desperately needed my nails done before Sunday. Kane was sooooo accommodating that not only did she open up the shop again to take me, she exceeded my expectations and did a PHENOMENAL job with my nails! I was super grateful for the customer service and hospitality!! Please come and see Kane!

I wouldn't give this business a 1. It should be ZERO! Terrible service. The shop owner doesn't prioritize her customers. The nail techs are very lazy and talk amongst each other too much. The shop is too noisy. And the techs stand around the owner (Cindy) while she's performing a service. It's a problem when the nail tech keeps getting up leaving the customer to go off and do other things when she's supposed to be performing a service. I will NEVER go back to this shop. Also the tech's only care about providing multiple services (too fatten their pockets). If you go in requesting one service then they'll stick you with an inexperienced nail tech. It's awful. Just when I thought the nails shops in Woodbridge couldn't get any worse. One more thing, they will outright ask you for a tip. They force venmo, cash app, etc...down your throat.

I've visited their salon twice for a full set and both times I wasn't satisfied. The first time, the owner, Cindy, did my full set and my nails didn't even last a week. They were lifting within days and I pulled them off. The second time, I went to their new location on Minnieville and got another full set. Again, they did not last 2 weeks. Ana did my set and made then so thick it was ridiculous. Again, they started lifting and I ended up taken them off myself. For what they charge, you'd think they would do a better job. I will not be visiting there again.
