Thumbs Up To You in Clinton Twp, MI

I tried this place on recommendation from a family member. When I left my nails looked nice, but it took 2 and a half hours for a manicure and pedicure. And the manicure was a dry manicure, leaving my cuticles looking kind of rough. I likely won't go back, I just don't have that kind of time to get my nails done.

I just visited Thumbs Up to You for the first time today. They have a great deal on Groupon! The nail techs are very friendly, welcoming, and they are native English speakers. The environment is calm, quiet, and I didn't feel rushed at all. They were kind enough to squeeze me in so that I could get my nails done before an important trip. My nails came out beautifully. I really like how natural and light the fiberglass nails are. The only cons are that they don't have a lot of fancy nail art and it took me 2 days to get a hold of them to make an appointment (which is required). Overall, the good far outweighs the bad. I will definitely be back.

Started going here 3 years ago with a groupon. Excellent service & nails are done with care and patience as they should be done. Fiberglass is much better for nails than acrylic and looks better as well. I do see Lynn the owner and she is excellent. Same girls have been there the whole time I have been going. I have a standing appointment every 2 weeks. I have had pedicures and massages as well. Both are excellent and they go the extra steps to make you feel comfortable

I have been going to Thumbs Up for over ten years, Lynn the owner does my nails. This alone must say something of the service. Although this is not an upscale place it is a place where you feel you are treated more like a family member than a customer. The staff turnover is minimal, again which says a lot for this place. It is a little hidden in back of a plaza, but it is a keeper once you find it!

I found this little place by using a Groupon, and now I've been coming here for years! The staff is friendly and welcoming (with one or two exceptions), and although the place is quaint and a little bit hidden, there's a familiar atmosphere that makes you feel like you're visiting friends every two weeks! My nail tech Tara Will literally try anything I pointed to out of a Cosmo magazine, and it ends up coming out better than what I'd hoped for every time. I get shellac on my fingers and toes-not all techs like to do this-but it lasts for 2 to 3 weeks on my fingers and 4 to 6 weeks on my toes. Of course the skill level of the tech is important, but some brands last longer on me than others so the trick is to find the right one.
