The Shoppe in Trumbull, CT

This place was such a bad experience for my son and I. We are pretty new to town and looking for a good barber. I wanted to support local and give them a shot. Booked a haircuts for my son and I. I picked a certain style for myself on the website. When we arrived we probably waited 10-15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. My son was booked with Greg, and I was with Ralph or Roberto. Greg literally bear pawed my sons head and would dig the buzzer into his head all while he would tell him he was hurting him. I asked him a few times to please take it lighter on him but he kept going. When it was my turn I was asked what I wanted, and it was explained to me to me what I was asking was not what I booked even though what I said was a part of the description. The only thing I can say to that is make it more clear on the website. The cut I got was ok, barber didn't talk to me, it seemed like I was more of annoyance even though I tried to make small talk to help. The pressure hoses they use to get the hair off is super loud and not pleasant. Overall just not a good experience, crabby people giving ok haircuts and just a bad vibe. It's been months now and every time I take my son to get his haircut he makes sure it's not here because he didn't like the place.

This place is great! The staff is really friendly and does a great job on my three boys hair. It's very clean and they have a really cute bar area to sit while you're waiting. My kids love getting their hair cut here, highly recommend!

Ok well my husband asked me to stop at the barbershoppe as I was coming to pick him up to see if they were available for him to get a haircut. So as I walked in I was wondering if I was in an actual barbershop! So I smiled pleasantly and asked us this where you get your hair cut or get a tattoo?  They actually laughed and said we can probably do both. I said my husband will be over soon. So we come over and I have a picture of Anthony Burdains head shot and say this is how he always gets his hair cut. So the guy cutting hair looked at it and said ok. I kept insisting he likes it real short just like the picture. So sitting there for 20 minutes watching him cut my husbands hair I see it's nothing like the picture. So my husband bob says show him the picture again. So I do and I'm brushing back bobs hair with my fingers showing him to cut it shorter and it supposed to go back not parted on the sides and brushed with long hair to the side. So here it goes for another  10 minutes not looking any different and just doing the same thing. Now I know by now bob is PO'D sitting and watching this guy with his hair going nowhere. So I show the picture to the owner  working next to him and he starts telling me the guy in the picture has Curley hair. I said what difference does that make thus guy is doing what he wants and is not cutting it short.  I say bob wants it very short and combed back just like the picture. I don't know what else I can say or show you. Dumbfounded the guy is still trying to cut bobs hair. I'm thinking to myself this is  nuts but now the guys hand is shaking as he's cutting! I'm thinking is this his first day or is he just a very bad stylist. I'm waiting for bob to blow any second now!  It's now been one hour!!!!  I stand up and say ok it's good let's get out of here. Bobs saying I look like a freak!  I want out of this joint! So now he's paying for this nightmare of a hair cut and the guy says well when you come back in January we're only taking cash or the app pay on your phone!  Im thinking yeah we'll be back don't hold your breath. So the moral of this long story is if you want something you don't want then go there, this place is WTF!!!

I went here for the first time and was very impressed. Place is pretty cool inside, got a great haircut and they take appointments so no waiting. Great addition to Trumbull.

Great shop and overall experience. Grabbed a cut, had a brew and played a round of fooseball on a Tornado Table!
