The staff was so friendly and helpful. I had a last minute cancellation for a makeup tutorial for my daughters birthday and they saved the party! Not only did they take 5 last minute tutorials, they made it fun and made each girl feel special. The price was so reasonable and I could not be happier.

I was recommended this place, and after seeing good reviews, I decided to make an appointment. I got a super simple all over color with "money pieces" by my face. The appointment went alright, but it did take three hours, which was much more than I was expecting. That was fine, though. I had blocked my afternoon off for the appointment anyways. When I had made an appointment, I chose the $40 color and noticed that a single foil was $4. I ended up getting an all over color and 3 foils total, which should end up at $52. However, I was charged $71. I didn't even realize this until I was home. Also, I was not a huge fan of how my hair turned out, but I'm not overly picky and it's a school, so I decided to let it slide. What's more is that the dye was not fully washed off my scalp and neck, leaving rashes and chemical burns along there, but again, I wrote it off as being a school and the stylist was learning. It was not until I had finished a load of laundry and looked at the shirt I wore that day that I saw all these hair dye stains all over the back of my shirt that everyone in the school must have seen- and said nothing! The shirt, a vintage sweatshirt from my college and older than me, is ruined. I called back, they told me to send them pictures. I did, and it took them four days and a follow up email for a response. The next day, they called me and told me they could not refund the actual service and could only refund me for the price of the sweatshirt, despite me saying that the value of the item is not what I paid for it, and it's older than me and irreplaceable. They said there is nothing they can do and they'll "let the student know." So basically, I paid $71 for a hair color I don't like, chemical burns, and destruction of my property. Hair coloring goes better when I do it myself in the bathroom.

Got the deluxe facial done and loved every second. Lauren was the one who attended me and I did not feel a single thing when she was popping blackhead and such.

Don't buy Groupons for this salon. They have very strict restrictions and are not willing to deviate from the guidelines especially if you work full time. I've called there twice to make appt and both times the receptionist has been rude. Basically if you have a groupon and you can't work around their guidelines i was told there's nothing they can do for me and told me to call Groupon and hung up on me.

I tried The Salon Academy for the first time with my daughter last week. We did not have the best experience. There were many things that we were disappointed with. One, being the pedicure and manicure only included the very basics. I didn't even know there was an upgrade until later. The pedi only included feet in the water, then cuticles then polish - nothing else. They don't post the services so I had no idea. It took 20 minutes start to finish. That was with the instructor looking at it twice. One of the other people working had a bunch of dead skin from a client on their towel and shook it out with us all there. Dead skin HIT MY ARM! It was so gross. Then a girl put down two items they apparently sell and said it was their samples. I assumed she was giving them to me because she set them down next to her card to take. I even told my daughter to put them in my purse for me because my nails were wet. Everyone heard me say that. Then I get a call later acting as if I stole them saying I need to bring them back. They then called me two more times to bring back. I told them the first call I would bring it back but I wasn't driving by there until yesterday. Super disappointed in this place!
