I'm a SAHM and I don't get out as much at all even. So when I booked my appointment here I was excited that it was black owned and in a fairly nice town. However I was asked to leave because I had my children present and SUPERVISED. -- they asked me to reschedule because the children were a distraction. I don't have the means to leave my children with just anyone. I am also nursing and was asked to go to the back. I'm from NYC we take our children to the salon, store, where ever we have to go because they are my responsibility. Please remove the "kid-friendly" from your description and add children not allowed. I'm going home looking for a hot ass mess, still. With oil on my scalp. Disappointed yet again with Detroit/Michigan salons/services. Just disappointment all around with this city.
Stephanie did her thing! I was very nervous about how it would come out my hair had to blonde at first when I came and she is worth it 1000% convenience and talent. She really loves what she does!
My first time in Audrina's chair & it was amazing! She's the utmost professional & her talent is absolutely spectacular.
I came here couple of years ago,never to return again Stephanue trys to come off like she's professional but she s not.. if your receiving all theses bad reviews something is wrong.However let me finish with my experience with Stephanie.First off before they got the parking structure Parking was horrible who wants to get there hair done and pay for parking or experience your car being towed ,she did not consider her client when picking that location,secondly ,she is extremely high for you not to get in the seat on your appointment time.Thirdly,staying up in a s alon 5,6,7 hours is old as hell .Finally ,my experience. This was my second visit, and I m going to make s a long story short , I was wash and blowed dryerbut however,I had to use use the restroom I guess she thought I was about to sit in her face or checking up on her but whatever she thought. She like you go intact in there and have a seat She was very rude.
I first heard about this salon being a model for the owner Stephanie's class, i received a beautiful hair cut and color service and only tipped her and it was so cute! I have many hair stylist in my circle and I know how Expensive the profession can be , that being said , it's important to consider that you get what you pay for always applies in any transactional situation I do pay a bit extra coming to The living room hair lounge but it's worth it to me to know I'm not sitting in the chair on a gamble and I know the stylist will always do my hair the way I like ! I was able to finally afford to come here and I'll never go anywhere else! It's important to find a salon home as a black woman, our hair care is a major part of our self care routine and I'm always happy when I leave the chair at the living room hair lounge!
