I've been here twice before, and undoubtedly I have had the best hair experience of my life here. Having curly hair is hard, especially hard to trust stylists with, but Jacob at the Hair Lab worked his magic and I will return definitely. He listened to exactly what I wanted with cut and color, asked questions to make sure he and I both knew exactly what I was asking for, offered tips and recommendations, and taught me how to take best care of my hair. He truly knows what he is doing and he is extremely talented at bringing to life his art. I also really enjoy the atmosphere at the hair lab, as it's very moody and elegant and clean. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and it was pretty easy to make my appointment. The price is well worth the service as well. I look forward to trusting Jacob with my hair again soon - which is a huge deal for me having grown up in fear of trusting hair dressers with my curls.
So so so incredible! Seriously, I could not recommend this place enough. Rachel colored and cut my hair and did truly an amazing job. I have been very nervous to go to a new salon ever since coming to Missouri, but I am so happy I did!
I'm originally from California and after moving to stl I have been on the hunt for a new hair salon.. and well.. I found it!! I got a balayage and a cut done, and Brian literally killed it!! Not only was he a super kind person, but he is also a phenomenal hair stylist. Everywhere I go I get compliments on my hair and how he framed the color and the cut perfectly for my face shape. He blended everything perfectly and it was exactly what I was going for!! I have curlyish hair and he took the time to understand and give my hair the TLC it needed. Also, BEST SHAMPOO EVER!! I have never had a stylist massage my scalp and it was so relaxing that it put me to sleep lol. I am so thankful that I found this salon and that I got the opportunity to work with Brian!
I love The Hair Lab. My cut and color are both amazing. I've seen Sachi four or five times and she is so highly skilled in addition to being a lovely person. I completely trust her to use her craft to my best aesthetic advantage. My hair looks awesome. They lost a star due to a massive price increase. Though it's always been a bit of sticker shock when I get my hair done, and I get it we're in a moment of inflation , but a 30% increase in a year - over $100 more - is a bit much.
Super cute salon. Had my first appointment with Jacob yesterday and I was pretty nervous to see someone new. He had a really calming vibe and took his time to listen and give me a fantastic, pampering experience. My hair is very fine and thin, so it's hard to find the right person, but he did a phenomenal job. There was no "hard sell" for any products, which I always appreciate, but left with a couple things anyway bc I loved what he used on my hair. Thanks Jacob! I'll be back. Five stars for sure.
