The Arts Beauty Salon & Spa in Williamstown, NJ

I took my 14 year old daughter here tonight to get a full set which I booked online a week prior which online says is $45. We showed up 10 minutes early and they took her immediately, she showed the tech Nancy what she wanted and she started, she did a great job don't get me wrong however when we go to pay it's $70. I asked how it was $70 - she said $50 for the dip acrylic, $10 for the shape, and $10 for the design. I said okay did she ask for dip and she said no, it was the color In the picture. I let her know that I was a little upset that I sat behind her the entire time of the appointment and not once did she mention that anything would be extra. Listen I get this is an art, I know I'm paying for their time but that's a significant jump. She didn't even give us the option to pick a non dip color or tell us that the "shape" will be extra - it's literally shaping the nail, I thought that was part of the "full set". So yes at the end of the day she did a good job but it was a rip off - they added over $25 to the original booking price plus a tip of course for her time it cost me $80 when I was walking in thinking $60 at the most. Communication is huge and they are lacking here, we will not be going back. make sure you ask with everything if it will be more because you may end up getting a $100 bill!

I have long natural nails. I do not wear acrylic nails. To help maintain my nails I get gel manicures. Prior to my last visit, I had gel on my nails. When I went to get a new manicure here, the nail tech used mechanical tools on my natural nails to remove the old polish. Because the nail tech decided to use mechanical tools on natural nails, my nails became weak and broke. This should not have been done. The gel polish should have been removed by soaking my natural nails in nail polish remover. I now have broken natural nails that I will now have to regrow. I will not be returning nor recommending this place.

We have been trying to find a good local nail salon for a long time. I have visited this business on 3 occasions as I heard so many positive things about them and thought maybe the first two times was a fluke. Customer service is horrific. On all 3 occasions I have made appointments and sat and watch multiple people with later appointments be taken back while time kept ticking. Even with an appointment I don't get seen till over an hour after my appointment time. I guess it's safe to say they don't need or are interested in obtaining new clientele. Won't be back.

Go see the owner Peter . He does beautiful nails and is very talented with designs ! Glad I found this nail salon .
