Symmetry Salon & Gallery in Richmond, VA

I wish I could give this place negative stars. I was treated so rudely by the owner who refused to honor an appointment I had. I literally received a text to cancel my appointment one hour before, after I had hired a babysitter. Just skip the place, not worth it.

I'm a crazy person and will drive two hours to get my hair done in Richmond whenever I get the chance! One of my best friends sees Angela every eight weeks and whenever our schedules allow, I'll drive down for the day and we'll get our hair done together on a Saturday morning. Angela is amazingly talented and always provides stunning color, perfect cuts, and a beautiful blow out or curls to complete the look. She is incredibly friendly and easy to chat with throughout the appointment. I've seen her three or four times now and have always left the salon grinning ear to ear and so thankful I made the drive! The salon is very cute and clean and everyone (stylists and other clients) are super friendly! They also use great quality products, that smell good and make your hair feel amazing. Can't say enough good things!! I'll keep making the drive whenever I can!

Do not waste your time- I made an appointment with the girl that was going to do my pedicure via text and I showed up early only to receive a text 10 minutes before my appointment to cancel because she had overbooked- but the strange part was she wasn't even in the salon. She sent me a text while I was in her waiting area and I texted back I was actually in her waiting area and had taken off work - no response back. I was able to go closer to my home and received an excellent pedicure in which I tipped $20 just fro being accommodating and great.

I made a nail appointment here WEEKS AGO and the nail technician (which there is only ONE OF) canceled the day of the appointment, 5 and a half hours before the appointment. She said she wasn't feeling well which was understandable, but couldn't fit me in again till almost a week later!!!!! That is not how you should handle a cancellation. I needed my nails done that day due to an event I had the day after. Very disappointing and very unprofessional. She then texted me saying she could fit me in the day after my original appointment and I said that would be fine, yet she canceled on me AGAIN because she "couldn't fit me in". I had already prepaid my mani and pedi so again I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. NOT A PROFESSIONAL NAIL TECHNICIAN/ SALON AT ALL.

Chantel is a fantastic hair stylist! She put balayage in my hair and it looks great. I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted my hair cut so I left it to her and it looks voluminous and full of life again. I would definitely recommend her!
