I had a "once in a lifetime" event coming up, in a few weeks, and needed a trim. I have been to this shop several times and, usually, had a good cut. They keep a record of how you like your hair cut. I told the girl 1 1/2 inches on the back and sides, tapered, and trim the top to match. She used the 1/4 inch attachment, on the clippers, and went up the back and sides. The top was trimmed, a little, with no detail. This was the worst cut I've ever had. I went to another shop, to get it fixed, and was told it looked like the first person had no training. The price changes every time I go in, one time it's $14, then $19, then back to $14 etc.
The stylists here are nice enough, but they need to listen to what the client is asking for. When I walked in the door, my hair nearly reached my waist. I asked for a trim and a bit of framing around my face. About 1 to 1 1/2 inches off.
The mirror had a snow spray on the lower third of it (Christmas decor), so I could only see from my eyes up and I really couldn't tell what she was doing.
She took about 5 - 6 inches off the back and now the front doesn't even reach my shoulders. I was in so much shock, I just paid and left. The front is now so short, I can't even pull it back into a pony. It will take 2 to 3 years to undo what she did. I won't be back.
