Studio 55 Hair Salon in San Antonio, TX

I have been a client of Studio 55 for over a year. Megan is my stylist, and words cannot express the difference she has made in my life with caring for and maintaining my hair. She is patient, and a great listener to what I'm hoping for in my hairstyles. She is also realistic and respectfully honest about what can and can't happen with particular hairstyles in order to keep my hair healthy. She cares about the health of my hair, and that is irreplaceable characteristics in a hairstylist. Megan is relatable, kind, and down to earth. I am always happy with my hair when I leave Megan's chair, and the compliments are endless when people see my hair. Thank you, Megan! Tiffany has also done my hair for vacation, and she gave me great advice on how to maintain my style. She also always checks on me when I'm in the salon, whether she's styling me or not. Tiffany has always been personable, and easy to talk to. I've also purchased hair from Jazzy Hair on many occasions, with various types of bundles, and the hair is TOP TIER. The vibe in the salon is always positive and light, and the music is good too! I'm really glad I found a consistent full-service salon.

Where to start? Alot of the 1 star reviews sound similar to my wife's and I experience with this shop. Long story short my wife called the shop to make an appointment and was told by the receptionist Chloe to make the deposit and call back to confirm the appointment which she did. My wife then asked several questions in regards to prepare for her appointment and she was getting cut off and rushed off the phone and told "I don't tell customer's what to do with their hair. She called back and canceled her appointment because she was frustrated at the lack of respect. She then tried calling back the next day but it went to voicemail and she left a message and then called back an Hr later and realized that her number was blocked and tried calling back by blocking her number and the phone rang until the voicemail kicked in. I decided to call the shop myself to see if I could figure out what was going on and get a resolution. I politely asked to speak with a manager and the women on the phone says i can help you. I didn't get a name but i can only assume it was Tiffany based on our exchange because she told me that she was sitting next to the receptionist and heard the exchange between my wife and her. I then asked ok what can we do about this either we come to an agreement or I will have to file a complaint against them if we cannot agree. Once she heard that she was triggered and proceeded to berate me on the phone and call my wife a lair and that she's in the business of customer service but the customer is this case is not right and etc... I kept telling her I'm not here to argue and I could care less about the exchange but your not going to call my wife a liar and expect me to get defensive. The conversation pretty much went nowhere and I caught her in a lie and she tried to deny it and play the victim role like I was harassing her. I politely told her I was going to hang up because I'm not here to argue with a women and hung up. Ladies in San Antonio I strongly encourage you not to visit this establishment at all apparently customer service is something that this owner and her employees need to learn how to provide!

Yikes what a rude girl picking up the phone. I am new to SA and I am looking for a new place to get a haircut. I called for a quote and she was very condescending. She kept saying "well I can give you the price for a haircut but that wouldn't be the final price because we also wash the hair. The hair must be clean. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Let me ask you a question, when was the last time you got your hair cut professionally?" I heard her the first 3 times but she had to say it a 4th time. I kept saying "I understand. I am no longer just asking for the price of a haircut. I am asking what the ultimate price would be." When she finally spoke to the stylist to get a quote they said I needed to come in for a consultation to see if I'm a candidate for what I want... I know I am a candidate for a trim and heavy facial framing. Anyway I just looked through some reviews and the rude behavior seems to be a pattern. Glad the girl by the phone steered me away.

Amazing! Tiffany is so skilled and confident in her craft! You know that feeling when you get a hair style that you're so excited about, you can't wait to get home to show your family... this is exactly how I felt! I raced home!! You can feel the expertise in everything that Tiffany does. She was very honest about the state of my natural hair and did a long deep steam conditioning to start the process of getting me back to good. I could feel a difference in just one treatment. I also bought hair from her Jazzy Collection and was very impressed with the quality and feel!! If you want a true stylist, who knows what she's doing... Tiffany is the one. Can't wait for my next appointment!!

Had an absolutely amazing experience!! I've been natural for 20+ years & I am EXTREMELY cautious about my hair & new people touching it (I had been seeing the same person for 20+ years), so needless to say I was beyond nervous being my first time there. I had been without a silk press for a few months while searching for a new stylist. I drove an hour for my appointment & it was worth every minute!! Aalyiah did an amazing job on my hair!! She was professional but also personable & friendly. Tiffany was also nice & professional as well, she didn't do my hair but she was still welcoming & engaging. I absolutely love my hair & will be going back every two weeks.
