As far as the haircut goes, they actually did a really good job. I also think the person cutting my hair was on the new side, she was a little tentative - AKA slow - with everything she did. For the actual cut I'd give her a 4 star review.

As far as conversation or things like that, it was quiet enough you could hear a pin drop - some people may like that, some may like to have conversation while getting a haircut. No star rating for this as it is really kind of personal preference.

Sports clips is also kind of about the 'sports' experience. Know this, if it's raining, there is a good chance that their tv's will go out (direct tv).

Cost, if you are familiar with this guys, they upcharge for every service. The basic cut is $22 - which is really on the high side for a generic guys haircut. Each additional service adds $$. I'd go 3 star for price.

All in all, the haircut was good, which is what I was after. Would I come back here, only if I was in the area - had some time to kill - and really needed a hair cut.

Easily the most racist place I have been to in my life. They treat people who are brown like piece of crap. 3 times in a row, I have received bad to worse service and today it surpassed every limit. I checked in online and wait time indicated 18 minutes. Me and my son got there after 10 mins and my name was 1st on the board with stylist Angela. Angela gets done with her client and comes to the front, I give her a smile, she didn't acknowledge and I thought oh well! she didn't notice probably but I already smelled racism at that time anyhow our eyes met again and being in Alabama, the friendliest place on earth, the smile automatically slipped again on my face and she ignored me again. I didn't care, I thought she must be tired and mind you it's just 11 a.m. But I am defending her demeanorll in my mind but won't you want to smile at your client to get better tip?
Anyway, my name is 1st on board it goes on deck and I am making plans to take my son to the chair, she comes back again and changes my wait time from deck to 28 mins and calls name of next white guy on the list. I asked her why I was pushed on the back? she says that, that man came ahead of you so she have to service him first . I said how is that fair and if u wanted to do that way, why have online check in, in first place? Mind you, it has already been 30 mins since I checked online by that time! She said well I can't do this he walked in before you so I will take him but I knew in hindsight sh was just racist and thought since I was brown I won't tip her well or some other bullshit although I always tip 20/ 25 percent of my bill just to change their opinion about us  but guess she thought she will get better tip from that white John guy so let this brown woman wait for another 28 mins. The stylist name is ANGELA.. IF u are American and true American which I am, you won't put up with such descrimination. I have had few experiences in the past based on my color but this surpassed them all. I just left telling her I will launch complaint at the corporate! Don't go there if you are anything but white male  because they will hurt your feelings everytime!
I called corporate but they are unavailable till Monday, I called store and asked Angela to give me her managers number but she said she can't give that away and I have to wait till Monday to talk to her.
Hurtful and disrespectful! People like Angela and people like Trump are making this country  really hard place to live but we will survive, won't we?

I never expected to write a review of a chain barbershop. For the last 10 years, my cosmetologist wife has cut my hair, so I have not had to have a place to go, but my wife is ill now and not able to cut my hair, so I have had to find someone. The first time, I took my wife's suggestion and went to a nice boutique shop and paid way more than I had ever paid! I hated that hair cut! It was nothing like what I requested. Fast forward to this week, I needed a haircut badly, but was not going to repeat that mistake. I walked right into SportClips and had almost no wait. Alese takes me back to her chair and asked a few questions about my hair and I showed her a picture of what I wanted. The haircut that I received was the best, most precise and thorough haircut I have ever had! She took the time to understand my very difficult cowlick, and identity my natural part. I honestly can't believe I wasted money at the first place! Alese is every bit the stylist of those cutting at fancy shops! I really hope she stays for selfish reasons, but I expect she will be poached soon!

This place is very unprofessional. When you walk up the hair "stylist" are sitting out front smoking. Upon entering you rarely get greeted and the wait is usually 10-20 minutes despite the stylist outside who is still smoking. On two separate occasions I was not offered the triple play or MVP and when I inquired about it my stylist told me the faucets were down, even though another customer had just come out. Then to put the icing on the cake, the stylist charged me for an MVP. When I asked about it, they said their policy is to charge MVP unless you tell them beforehand. That makes no sense. After paying she proceeded to thank me and when I asked for my change she got offended and thought I was tipping her. Friendly word of advice. Gratuity is not guaranteed, it is earned. Do yourselves a favor guys, drive the extra 7 miles to the Grove location and let the professionals take care of you.

Not a good idea.  Trust me.  Worst haircut I've had in a long time.  I don't want to name anyone.   So it's best to avoid this place altogether
