Salon on Hagood LLC in Birmingham, AL

I loved coming here to get my hair cut. Everyone is so kind, and so respectful of social distancing. Heather gave me a great haircut - we talked about color and extensions, and I'm definitely going back for that. All in all, a great haircut for only $38, Kevin Murphy products and a very friendly atmosphere makes this one a winner!  I highly recommend!!

I have been going to Salon on Haygood for 14 wonderful years. I use Heather for my hair and facial waxing and she is absolutely the best at what she does! Everyone is friendly and helpful, and I highly recommend you check them out!

Ok, so I wasn't going to write a review, because, well, I felt bad. But. After having to go to a new place and pay to get my nails fixed a few days after getting my nails done here, I felt like I should warn others since I found this place on yelp. Do NOT go here as a random walk in (I'm new to town so I'm at the mercy of online/app reviews, etc) unless you already know the work the person does. I made an appointment to get my gel nails filled in and was so happy they could get me in the same day. Unfortunately, the poor girl had no idea what she was doing and I believe normally does hair, not nails. The entire appointment I was on edge & trying not to cry from my anxiousness of this girl using a dremmel on my nails that very clearly had never used a dremmel before. I should've said I was uncomfortable and left but didn't. I felt bad, didn't want to get her in trouble or fired, etc. The fact is, it wasn't her fault, it's a management issue. Why would they have a girl doing nails that has no idea how to do nails. They ended up bad but could've been worse and looked ok from a distance or to maybe a mans standard that doesn't know what nails are supposed to look like. But more than how bad the nails looked & the fact that I had to pay $45 for bad nails, it was mainly just how bad the experience was. I won't go back, but I'm sure they probably have fine stylists and nail gals, you just need to make sure you know the work and person first. Don't do a random walk in and trust that they will put someone on you that knows what they're doing- or you might be paying again to fix it a couple days later. Thank the Lord it wasn't my hair.

Love this lil neighborhood shop!  I've especially loved Druscilla (the shop owner) since I was a child and she was at a salon in Eastwood Mall!!  She's a talented woman who loves her team and it truly shines in this hard-working, positive environment.  They offer hair, waxing, and nail services. Best to call ahead and make an appointment because they stay busy with regular clients, but they do everything they can to accommodate clients!!

Drusilla, the owner see's that everyone that comes in is well treated and the price are right!

They are a full service salon that has all the necessary amenities that women expect and can certainly handle a man's haircut.

Located down from Saw's Juke Joint and a cool little place called "Dish it Out".

I would recommend Salon on Hagood for everyone young or old, boys or girls. They also do pedicures.
