Specialty Nail Salon in Montebello, CA

I have gone to this salon for close to 2 years. Drop easily $60-$80 every two weeks on my nails and a pedicure and recently the service has completely gone down hill. I went back in December for birthday nails and wanted a certain chrome design that the woman in charge said could not be done I dealt with that but she could not stop getting upset and kept raising her voice at me I proceeded to get my pedicure and then left. I had free time and finally after months went back last Friday. I got a full set and the same older lady with a head full of grays got me again she cannot seem to file nails even or straight and this was what happened again Friday. I wanted a short full set of square nails. She had an issue cutting them short left them all uneven and filled weird/ lumpy. The polish also bubbled an was uneven. I went in today and asked for who was in charge and to my surprise it was the same woman who's station is in the middle of the building who's license says My Ly T Le I explained the issue and she rudely asked why I didn't say anything about the color that day I said I did say something and pointed to the tech that did my nails... after explaining I wanted the color fixed and the shape done to be square like I asked with my hand in hers she stated to yell at me and say why didn't I say something that day which I stated I did and the older woman ignore me. She remembered me from my birthday nails incident and I reminded her that this is now the SECOND time she's yelled at me and I am a paying customer she stated that last time she had the right to refuse service and I reminded her it isn't refusing service when they took $100 from me. She continued to yell at me with customers inside I asked more than once for her to calm down and took my hand from her. I said she can refund me and she advised that isn't allowed and kept screaming she even tried to stand up and got closer to my face. After I yelled back that I am not a child to calm down and either fix the nails or I could leave she stopped talking and fixed them. After all that I said thank you and got nothing. To say this HORRIBLE and UNPROFESSIONAL is an understatement and after all the money I've spent there I will never go back again. She not only embarrassed me but also I have severe anxiety and I had a major anxiety attack from the arguing that should never have happened when I am the paying customer who had an issue with her tech. She also seemed to be scolding the tech in front of everyone I their language and the tech who messed my nails up twice now turned her back to me and would not look at the lady in charge

Been here many times for a soak off, they did good & would only charge $7. Horrible service now. Came last time, asked for a soak off but instead of soaking my nails & taking them off the proper way, she did it the horrible way. Placed an acrylic tip under my fake nail to remove it like that. She destroyed my nails & blamed me for doing gel x, she said acrylic is "better" lol no maybe if she soaked them off & did them the correct way that wouldn't happen. Came today again & asked for a proper soak off & she seems kinda annoyed. At the end she said it was $10. I told her I've been coming here & they've always done a soak off for $10. She said no a "take off" is $7 & "soak off" is $10. Why is "take off" even an option???? Who would want to get their nails removed with an acrylic tip?? That hurts & ruins your nails. I don't mind paying $10 for a proper soak off but I won't returning now bc they're unprofessional & rude.

The lady doing my manicure today was extremely rough. She was throwing my hand to the side, the 2nd time she did it. I asked if everything is ok and why she kept doing that. She said "oh sorry". She kept suggesting white tips and I politely said no thank you, but she kept on asking multiple time. Until I firmly said no thank you again. After that she started talking to the lady doing my feet, they started laughing and I asked what was funny. It was clear they were talking about me. She said they were talking about food. I told her she is being extremely rude and there is no reason for it. When they were finished they asked for a tip. It was so embarrassing to deal with them. I went there after a friend told me they had a bad experience but I like to have my own opinions. Clearly this isn't the place to go.

I came here last month before traveling abroad. This nail salon is no good. They rush doing their job. They talk a lot with other co workers while doing your nails. I got upset because this lady i forgot her name did my hand nails and there was lots of bubbles. She kept on saying sorry.. I told her my nails are sensitive to UV light and she kept on forcing my hands inside to the very front of the uv light machine. I was saying ouch already. I would not come back here. You guys should make good impression on new clients. This nail salon is poor quality.

Not even two weeks in and nails are looking bad and gel polish is chipping off. Not worth $55. And sometimes we are so scared to say anything as females because we have a barrier in language.
