Appointment made using Vargo. With Maria McVay. Scheduled a $160 hair appointment. Stylist ends up needing to move appointment up a week due to them being out of town, totally fine, life happens. This week, the week of the moved up appointment, our cat ends up needing $1000 worth of medical expenses. Two days before the appointment we get a text with a link to confirm the appointment. We don't click link and reply "CANCEL" due to the unforeseen expense. Today, the day of the appointment, we get a message saying we have an invoice for a $200 cancelation fee... more than the quoted rate for the appointment that wasn't even confirmed. Neither the salon website nor the Vargo business profile note this as an action in response to an appointment cancelation regardless if it be confirmed or not. I don't know whether this situation is due to a miscommunication between this salon and Vargo, bad faith acting on the part of the stylist, or predatory business policies that aren't explicitly stated in any way by this salon. I do know that wherever the issue lay, it has lead to a customer experience I would call unacceptable and I am absolutely not paying the fee. TLDR; Getting charged $200 for a non confirmed appointment which is unacceptable.
I came here to get a pedicure and left extremely happy. Lin took her time with my pedicure and was really passionate about her work. I went on vacation to Mexico and my pedicure lasted through the whole week. Her prices are also extremely reasonable for the area. She even had chocolate available during the pedicure, which was a great touch!
This place is great :) I've been coming here for over a year and I'm always so happy with how my hair turns out. Every time I have a new idea for my hair Randi always makes it work.
