Shear Class in Ann Arbor, MI

Purchased an Amazon Local deal for a manicure. I texted to set up an appointment but was just told "I am not in on that day" with no suggestions of another time or her regular hours. I asked for a different day a week later, and she never responded. I took that as a sign of the type of customer service this person would offer if I actually went in and requested a refund from Amazon. I was given a full refund, which I'm thankful for. This place appears to have terrible customer service. Pass!

Purchased a Groupon for deep condition, cut & style. Stylist seemed rushed even though I arrived on time. Did not receive deep condition. From a technical standpoint my cut was done well but the style is not at all flattering.

I purchased a coupon through Groupon for Kaliah Wolf at Shear Class this past Christmas for my 85 year old mother. She has been trying to get an appointment for a month but this woman will not even return her phone call. I tried calling myself last week when I was in Michigan and there was no response. I have filed a grievance with Groupon. 5/26/2015: Refunded in full by Groupon

I recently purchased and used a $42 (ish) groupon for a shellac manicure and pedicure with Kaliah. It was my first time getting shellac but the procedure is identical to gel with a similar degree of durability. First of all, acquiring the appointment was easy as she answered the phone quickly and was extremely flexible with scheduling. Finding the location was also straight-forward however the business is tucked in an area that one would not expect to find a beauty salon so I'm glad my Google maps decided not to go crazy that day. Kaliah's area is in a room attached to the salon with one station. Which I preferred as there was no strong smell of acrylic. Overall, she did an AMAZING job. It took about an hour but we had a nice conversation which passed the time. The business appears to be mostly family-run which I thought was adorable. Anyway, I can't stop staring at my nails and would recommend her highly. It would also be good to mention that I accidentally scraped my nail on a fairly sharp surface earlier today and the shellac didn't budge! If the Groupon is still up, definitely purchase ASAP! However, she also mentioned that she would be posting a FB page and will run discounts as well. :)
