Delia's Salon in Ann Arbor, MI

Wouldn't trust anyone else... I've been coming to this salon for years. Laurie is a true artist! I get compliments on my hair everywhere I go. Latest trends, cuts, color. She's amazing. Delia is always so kind and welcoming. Five stars without a doubt.

Salon is set up as individual cubicles that are stations for each hair stylist. Pleasant surroundings and at first one can hear background music which was nice. Then it got very noisy. One male stylist was talking very loudly on his cell phone ON SPEAKER PHONE about business unrelated to hair styling. The music was turned down and the conversation could be heard throughout the facility. He talked for 15 minutes. Very unpleasant. A couple of stylists got into a negative conversation about clients. Also unpleasant (Dont bite the hand that feeds you). Stylist I had was very inexperienced. I asked for a blunt cut but she put in layers. Coloring was not so good. The color faded in just two weeks. prices are way too high for her level of experience. Talked about how tips were gravy because they are under the table. Really?! Talked very negative about another client. I will look for another salon that is more professional.

Wish for a no star option! Just awful. There isn't much more to say about this place. DO NOT GET ANY SERVICES DONE AT THIS SALON. Rude, OVER PRICED, and LACK OF experience for the prices charged for services is ridiculous. Since each stylist has their own space(I assume rent their spot), DO NOT ask the salon manager to provide any help. The stylist blamed their mistakes on MY hair-yes, my hair was the issue. Really? How about taking responsibility that YOU did an AWFUL job at the coloring? YOU did the service wrong. The prices you charge for terrible services are atrocious. The person lacks the skill & experience needed to be at a salon. The owner of this salon should really reevaluate their staff. Also, even in order to make an appointment, you have to give a credit card to hold the appointment-are you kidding me? This is not a 5 star salon! If you have too many clients canceling, maybe that's a bad sign!!! I will not put in a credit card to a business I have never visited & especially now, will never visit again! It is VERY unprofessional & the stylists lack the proper experience to work at this salon. DO NOT visit this salon!!!!

I wanted to leave an outstanding review for Phil at Delia's Salon. I tend to be one of those people who moves around to different hair stylists (I guess in the ultimate search for "the stylist"). At 50, I just recently started highlighting my hair also, so it was more important to me than ever to find a good stylist. I read some previous reviews about Phil on this site and decided to give him a try. I have been to Phil twice now and could not be happier. I recently decided to go "short" with my hair and he is able to give you a short cut with such femininity, precision and style. Phil is the type of stylist who you can trust to do what he suggests with your hair and you will not be disappointed with the end result. I have been complimented by people that I do not know in the elevator at work or just out and about regarding Phil's hair cuts. That speaks volumes in itself. If you are looking for a very gifted hair stylist - please go see Phil!

Have gone to Phil multiple times now and he does a great job! I always LOVE my haircuts. Easy location to get to.
