Can't recommend more highly! Found this little gem today, and showed up for a walk-in cut & beard trim for my college age son & I. We didn't have an appointment (but recommended), but they fit us in quickly, despite being busy.
My son and I have tried every upscale barber shop & men's stylist in downtown St. Louis and beyond, and usually pay double, or triple, for cuts that are not as good as Shack's.
Although Shack's caters primarily to African American clientele and hairstyles, I promise you WILL get the best men's cut and beard trim you EVER had, regardless of your hair type or style - and for a very reasonable price.
Don't let initial appearances, or location, fool you or keep you away - they are friendly, professional, will make you feel right at home, and they definitely know what they are doing. They have my business from now on.

I was a walk in and I had to wait a while since people had appointments but Shack made it clear he's get to me when he had the time and he did just that. From the moment I walked in I was treated with respect and the atmosphere and staff were extremely welcoming. When I finally got my haircut I got the cut I asked for and it was done well and with care. I left extremely pleased with the job done and will definitely be back!
