Salon413 in Holyoke, MA

Today was my first experience at Salon413, I got my hair washed and cut and my eyebrows waxed by Stacey. No complaints would definitely recommend !

I love Salon413. I have been to a few great salons in Northampton and Florence. When I moved to Holyoke, I asked around and a friend of mine (local vet tech) recommended Salon413. I have going to Salon413 for about 2 years now and absolutely love Stacie. I am a very low maintenance woman and so I usually get the good "hi, how are you" when I see friends and family. But, with my last cut it seemed like 1/2 of the people I was seeing skipped right to the "your hair looks fantastic". For someone who has zero product and spends no more than 3-5 minutes "getting ready" this was pretty profound! Prices are super reasonable, the service is great, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. You can even book on-line. I can't recommend Stacie enough.

I walked in with a picture of what I wanted the girl with the bright red ends told me she wanted to do a test strand to see if she could accomplish it. I already knew that my hair would lift okay so I agreed. Well my hair took exactly how I knew it was going to it shocked her how it lifted considering my hair was dyed demi black approximately a month ago and my hair lifted well. She could have completed the job in which I requested however she decides at 1:45 after she has spent about 20 minutes lifting some strands in the front of my hair to inform me that she had to go pick her kids up at 2. So she need to leave then she had a 4:30 which I heard her make on the phone while I was in the dryer. Mind you she walked in while I did. She then goes to me can you just come back tomorrow so I can finish your job. Are you kidding me you let me leave the salon with orange chunks in the front of my hair. There was no owner of the salon at the time the only one there was I guess her sister doing someone's nails. This is beyond unprofessional if you could not complete the job you should have never tried to lift my hair in the first place. Then booked me for a diff day

I'm not one to usually write bad reviews, but I am extremely disappointed in this salon. I was in charge of setting up hair and makeup for my friend's wedding (I'm a bridesmaid) and spoke with Carly at the beginning of May to see if they could accomodate the bridal party for hair on the day of the wedding. She confirmed the date and said I was all set, and that the salon could even travel to the location of the wedding, great! Fast forward to a few days ago (the wedding is next week) and I wanted to inquire about makeup, and lucked out because the makeup artist answered. I knew since it was last minute I probably wouldn't luck out in booking her. She also told me there was nothing in their schedule for June 30, so I panicked. I told her I spoke with Carly some time ago. I called the next day for an update, got nothing. Days go by, nothing. Luckily I found another salon who was able to accomodate last minute. I called salon 413 back just now and spoke with Carly AGAIN to see what the excuse was, and she kept diverting me to her boss who was unavailable, and then told me "well it wasn't confirmed"... what wasn't confirmed? I confimed the date over a month ago and said it was for four bridesmaids hair which she knew. Then I told her I found a new salon because I didn't feel that salon 413 was able to accomodate me due to what was told to me, and all I got was "okay, bye". No apology, nothing. I can't believe how unprofessional it all was, my mind is blown. Unfortunately will not recommend salon 413 to anyone in the future.
