Holly's Nail Salon in Holyoke, MA

Before I give my rating please note that I've never had a problem at this salon. I initially went because it was recommended by a coworker. Today the owner did my nails, she had previously done my nails on my last visit and I was very pleased with the end results. Today however the nails were thick and fat. There was also waves and lumps. Not very good work from my previous experience with her. I told her my concerns and of course she can see it, she denies it saying it's the same as last time. Then with attitude she tells me she'll do it over, but she was very angry. I said ok and thank you. But it'll cost an extra $5. Ok, done. During the finishing work, no love to my nails. Just anger swipes with the file. So she's still upset and I didn't argue, didn't give her attitude. I said thank you, went to pay and I then said, "I still want to come back" she replied, "I can't see you here anymore" Me: why, because I criticized your work and didn't want to pay for ugly nails? Her: we can't service you Me: Soooo, okay have a good day and a productive week. There are plenty of nail salons around but do not go here if you can't give an honest review or opinion. She can't handle it. For gosh sakes, it's just nails not medicine. She was very angry and rude.

worst nail experience ever. i went in September with my daughter for 2 gel manicures. i had been there once before and thought they did an ok job. well this last time with in a few days my nails were already chipped and I had an ingrown nail that was infected. I've never had an ingrown nail in my life. i was so grossed out I called was told i could come that day and that day only to get my nails repainted, with what an infected finger??!? i have now had 2 ingrown nails since and can't not believe this is now the life of my pour thumb....

Worst experience I ever had at a nail salon was at Holly's Nails. I asked for square nails and the lady kept making them round. A couple times I kindly told her that it was still too round and to make them more square. She was still not able to make them square. She then said "No one wants to do your nails because you're too picky." That was extremely rude. I will never forget it. When I told the owner Holly right after she said it, all the owner said was "Sorry honey sorry honey." I will never go back and never recommend it to anyone EVER.

I've had a few disappointing visits. In this economy, I feel that if a customer is not happy, there should be more than an apology. It's been too many times that I had a pedicure only to find out the gel color for my manicure was not the same color. Holly and her mom are great. The one that doesn't understand a word you say is less than desirable. I always feel like she is talking about me too, which is extremely rude. Whoever is doing your nails should be able to understand your questions and respond back.

Worst nail salon I have EVER been to. Total and complete waste of money. Do NOT go here!
