Paul Bosserman has been cutting my hair for decades--he is one of the best stylists in DC and has been able to transform my unruly mane. I followed him to Salon l'Eau, a clean bright setting with very welcoming staff, and always look forward to my visits.

I've been visiting Kate at Salon L'eau for haircuts and styles for the past year. Every visit confirms that she is the best stylist I've ever had. She consistently remembers my style preferences and understands my hair, delivering personalized care and exceptional cuts. Not only is she a master of her craft who is passionate about her work, but she also makes me feel comfortable and welcome. Kate recommended a keratin treatment for my hair, and I went for it on my latest visit. Having been skeptical, I was astonished by the outcome. It has completely transformed my hair from coarse and frizzy to incredibly smooth, far beyond anything I have achieved with my flat iron. For the first time, I'm not dreading the humid summers of Washington, DC! The exceptional service extends beyond the stylist chair. From the moment I walked in for my first appointment, Carlos, the salon manager, welcomed me by name, making every interaction--from scheduling to check-out--a breeze. Salon Lea'u stands out as a high-end salon without pretentiousness or judgment. It's a place that not only delivers exceptional hairstyling and treatments but also values the experience and comfort of its clients. I highly recommend Kate and Salon L'eau! Shockingly Deceptive Practices - Buyer Beware! FAKE HAIR EXTENSIONS! After being a loyal customer since August 2021, my recent experience has forced me to reevaluate the trustworthiness of this establishment. The issues began with a bizarre request about not bringing my dog, which LoAnn never bothered to address. Little did I know, this foreshadowed the extensive problems I would encounter with the hair extensions and services I paid for. In January 2022, I shelled out a whopping $950 for what was claimed to be "high-quality, 100% real human hair." What a joke! The problems commenced with color mismatches, and the only solution offered was to add more rows, or to continue to come back so they could attempt to re-dye it (which I did, three times). By June, the extensions were falling out in clumps, despite my diligent efforts to care for them. The final straw came when I discovered, through an entirely different salon, that the hair I purchased from here was nothing but cheap, plastic-based imitation hair. Shockingly, this fraudulent misrepresentation was known to both LoAnn (owner) and Tasha (stylist), as evident from a Yelp review by another disgruntled customer (scroll down to see Ashley B's review). This revelation leaves me questioning the integrity of the entire operation. I am not merely dissatisfied; I am outraged! The $2,780 I wasted on fake hair, misrepresented as premium quality, is unacceptable. I demanded a refund. Instead, the owner sent me on a wild goose chase, forwarding emails to me from the entity that provided them with the hair. I articulated that I had no business with that entity and continued to seek the refund due from the salon, only to receive no response. I am left to choice but to escalate this matter to the Better Business Bureau, DC Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection, and the Attorney General. I am also preparing for a lawsuit and exploring the possibility of a class-action lawsuit to address the systematic deception of extension customers over the years. Nadia has been beautifying & darkening my eyebrows, eyelashes in her beautiful, calm space @ Salon L'eau. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful & on target, a pleasure to work with & know. Plus I look so much better. Carlos at front is efficient, warm & makes sure everything that needs to get done happens. Nice vibe.

I cannot say enough good things about this Salon: professional, competent, nice. After a bad hair day for almost six months, a client of mine referred me to Kate and meeting Kate was beyond refreshing. She is just amazing. I called her the Hair Whisperer. Immediately, she figured out the best color for me what others had not been able to ever do and I got the best haircut ever. It's obvious that she loves what she does. She is sweet, kind (a quality that many are missing these days) caring, and very professional. Every time I go to the salon which I try to do every five weeks, I leave rejuvenated! I cannot recommend Kate and this salon enough, and yes I will be back in five weeks.
