Salon Hermitage in Rochester, NY

Had Permanent make-up done with Carol - Upper eye lid. I expected some pain obviously, but this was terrible. She did use a numbing cream but left minimal time for it to start working. I have numerous tattoos and never did anything come close to this. Carol was not personable or pleasant. The work area was clean and tidy. I wanted to have subtle black upper eye lid liner but its barely noticeable and to get a touch would be at least $100. There is no way I would go through the pain again and I would choose elsewhere.

I bought a Groupon for permanent makeup from Carol. She lacks greatly in the personality area. The work done was of poor level. or bad ink. It looks nothing like the pictures she showed me. the makeup started coming off from the first day on. I called after 3 day's. to see why this was happening. She never returned my call, finally spoke to her one week later to tell her the makeup was flaking off. She really didn't care and said come back after 4 weeks and for $150.00 more she'll touch it up. WHAT . DO not ever use her, good artist always backup there work. She doesn't which say's everything about her. I was willing to come in after 3 day's to show her. I followed the instructions to the tee. Very, very disappointed in the salon and her, I would recommend going elsewhere.

I bought the groupon online for perm makeup from carol. The work was great I had great results. I found carol to be fairly cold. I had my upper and lower lid done and it can be quite uncomfortable/painful. I would have appreciated more warmth and patience. I would not go back. But if what you are looking for is a good deal then I say go for it. But don't expect much as far as kindness or warmth.

I have no experience with the hairstyle department of this salon, which I've heard is good. My review is for the laser hair removal service offered. Specifically, I would like to comment on the extreme rudeness of the laser hair technician, who was dismissive and had generally a very poor attitude towards comments or questions on my part. I purchased a groupon for this salon to try laser hair removal, and had one session which was completely uneventful besides the unplesantness of the technician. Afterwards, I found a salon with a laser better suited to my skin type and was able to work out a good deal. When I called to cancel my appointment with Hermitage, I got a condescending voice mail from the technician in response. This was even after reassuring the salon that I had had no issue with them, but was simply choosing to go with a different laser type. When I called her back to explain again, she was VERY rude, brushing me off with a "whatever" and practically hanging up on me. I do not feel like this is professional behavior for someone working in a salon, or anywhere else, and cannot recommend this service to others as a result. As an aside, they only have a YAG laser, which did not have any effect on my hair growth at all and is not really suitable for people with skin types I-III (according to my dermatologist). In comparison, the alexandrite laser from the other salon I tried produced noticeable results after the first session, even in a different area.
