Salon Deja Vu in Rockaway, NJ

My daughter and I have been seeing Kayla for several years. She is knowledgeable and does a great job with cut and color. My child has some sensitivity to sensory feelings and Kayla found a way to make my child feel comfortable and safe.

Jackie is an amazing colorist. I received so many compliments regarding my blonde highlights. She also did a balayage for my daughter which was really good. friendly staff and good COVID guidelines. I would highly recommend Jackie and Salon Deja Vu.

Phenomenal clean salon following every covid measure possible. Very friendly staff. Andrea gave me a manicure and I felt safe and relaxed in a welcoming clean environment . I made my next appointment and I'm happy to be a new customer here.

Hi! My name is Missy and I've been going to Jackie at Salon Deja Vu for the past four years. I'm pretty picky with my hair and who does it, and after the first time I had Jackie... I was hooked. I get complimented on my color constantly, and it's solely because of her. She is a color goddess. All of the other employees, as well as the owners, are super fun, friendly and amazing at what they do. Thanks for being the best guys!!!

I went in today for a corrective color to my bleach blonde hair. After almost FOUR HOURS in the chair, my hair was damaged from root to tip, polka-dotted brown roots, orange tinges and color all over my face. After seeing this, I said no thanks to a blow out or any additional services. I get up to the counter to an almost $200 bill, including a blow out and conditioning treatment I told the stylist I didn't want. No way. After speaking to the manager, and her speaking to the owner, I was told if I didn't pay the full amount and rearrange my day tomorrow for another "free" appointment, they would call the cops. Haha! I told them I would pay $100 for bleach, and that was all. I hand her my card, and I get told they don't accept my card type, even though that is posted NO WHERE in the salon. End result: I was told to leave free of charge, and walked out with blisters on my burning scalp. When I posted a review of what had happened to me on their Facebook, they got nasty with me telling me my hair was damaged, broken and green (?) before I walked in and refused to apologize, telling me they should have made me pay anyway. Terrible customer service. ***update: the salon took down my Facebook review, probably after seeing how nasty they were to me. And currently, layers of my scalp are coming off from chemical burns. Ow!
